That movie was pretty awful. Only 2 jokes really hit the spot off the top of my head. The TNT joke and the Michael Jordan joke.

The first movie isn't as good today as it was then, but it's still a good movie.

I was surprised how little screen time the other basketball players had in the movie. I also don't know if I ever definitely knew who at least 2 of the villain basketball players were the entire movie. Also, I thought it was kinda baffling how the scoring was all over the place at the beginning but at the end it was being done regularly (Also that with the way the scoring was that the game was really like 10 made baskets to 1 made basket in the first half).

Occasional smokers exist. For I am one and I know many.

Was heavy during college days and stopped after my first son was born. Now I only smoke when I meet with my friends or have a drinking session. Why? Because it feels good.

The board has truly spoken like they have no idea what cigarettes and smokers are. Like I'm baffled at how socially clueless some of the posts are.

I'd question why they felt the desire to smoke at parties to begin with. Like, what about a party specifically makes them want to smoke? Is it anxiety? Is it to fit in? Those are warning signs of bigger issues that could easily lead to more frequent smoking, so it'd be a pass for me.

You are already secondhand smoking how much. What does it even matter? Some people who occasionally smoke do so for the nicotine high that you generally only get when you infrequently smoke.

I used to be an occasional smoker. If I drank once a week, I would smoke a pack a week (sometimes I wouldn't even finish the pack). If I drank once a month, a pack a month. If every 3 months, one every 3 months.

It was completely centered around how much I drank. It drove doctor's nuts when they asked if I was a smoker.

I turned on Ring Fit last week, did 4 squats, and could barely walk after because of my knees. I think I might've torn something in them at the beginning of the pandemic and never went to the doctor because I didn't want to go mid-pandemic (and I was also in a different country). For day to day stuff there is no pain but as soon as I put stress on them I'm out of commission for 48 hours.

You should go to the doctor now. You might have a slight tear/sprain in your ACL or MCL or so on. Like, even tearing your ACL, you are generally fine walking on it, but it is when you try to cut, pivot, and jump and such that it fails you. Either way, not getting it assessed and fixed if necessary could cause much bigger problems for the rest of your life.

My knees are messed for some reason that I've neglected to check out, so a lot of weight stuff and especially squats wreck me. Running is fine, but the bike is just a more enjoyable experience for me. Goal is 500 cals burned per session and I've reached that in 13/14 days since I started.

I feel like squats do nothing at all for me. Then again being fat makes your legs tend to be pretty muscular already just lugging your fat ass around in my case lol.

Getting more protein in your diet is easy with protein powder. One scoop with some water, stir, and chug after a workout.

See I was thinking this, but then I realized its so damn expensive. Talking like $60 a month. Then I realized... eating a can of chicken a day is about the same protein but it also costs like $60 a month with just a little more calories.

So, it's basically the same I suppose.

But, I think I am supposed to have like what 91g of Protein a day just recommended let alone to build more muscle? A scoop of protein powder is like 26g. Where the hell you getting the other 65+g. That's still a lot to make up for.

Like the fitness forums say this number could be double the recommended intake. How the hell could you possibly get to 182g!

I've lost a ton of weight. Keep in mind with these numbers, I'm 5'7", which is fairly short for a guy, and I've never had much muscle, so I should be lighter than the average guy. In high school, I tended to be in the 160s. When I was living at school, I got up to the 210s. In 2018, long after college, I peaked at around 235. In 2019 I finally started to lose weight. Even through the pandemic with the gym closed, I took my routine outside until I could go back. I'm now kinda fluctuating between 155-158, which is even lighter than I was in late high school, and pictures definitely show it. For the last few months I've also started using weight machines and am building a little bit of muscle for the first time ever.

Congrats! That is awesome! Keep it up! Any tips you can share for us?

The fact that you're trying to determine whether she's more likely liberal or conservative based on random ass criteria like you are is the problem though, not whether the criteria is ultimately true or not. Unless politics is so deeply rooted into your identity that you need to know about any potential partner-- and in that case then maybe you should just, I don't know, ask them?

I don't care what she was one way or the other. Whether they are political or not doesn't change that their views are liberal or not. I mean, you would pretty much have to be a blank slate of a personality to not have viewpoints, whether you associate them with a political view or not.

It is important to know if they are radicalized on a spectrum though. If I say I agree with strong immigration, and they start calling me a racist. That's obviously a nonstarter. Duh. Why even waste time with that.
