Frankly if you're still fighting a war after 18 years then the only decisive thing is that you decisively made a mistake. Doubly so if the fruits of your labor have been more destabilization in more countries.
The war was won a long time ago. We just chose to foolishly try and help them rebuild instead of left.

How did we win the Vietnam War?
We were killing the enemy at a ratio of 100:1. We just decided to pull out and not support South Vietnam anymore, who lost the war to the North. The North Vietnamese could never defeat our forces, and we could have killed every last person in the entire country 10,000 times over before they could have defeated our force if we stayed. We just chose not to. That is not a defeat on our end. It was a defeat for the South Vietnamese. We decisively were winning the war. We just bowed down to liberals crying about the war because they cannot support their country ever and withdrew. Nothing else. We did not lose that war, despite how the media would love to portray it.

I would never say fuck the troops, and I wouldn't lament most wars. We are decisively victorious in basically every war. We just have a failure of media attention. The only war we weren't decisively victorious in was the Korean War. (In the past 120 years).

So basically, might makes right. We don't attack North Korea precisely because they have nuclear weapons. They have the ability to strike back and therefore it's in our best interests not to start a war.
If our President assesses that it would take more American Citizen's lives to attack them than to not attack them, we should explore the avenue in which an attack does not occur. Yes. Obviously. Unless our freedoms would be infringed upon otherwise.

You would be a fool to not take threats credibly until they bring your destruction. This is no different than Israel pre-emptively striking Iran who said the day they have nukes they would wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. Who in their right mind waits to see if they are full or shit or not. You, as a government of the people, are responsible to protect them.

We are not bound to the UN or their directives. The UN Resolution saying war was an acceptable conclusion to flaunting the rules was our justification for going to war with a nation who was a threat to us and was flaunting said resolution. We had every right to go to war with Iraq with that reasoning. We weren't bound to.

This one. Since we invaded them and toppled their government, the world felt we were responsible for installing a new government and rebuilding them. When we should have just left. If we wanted to stay, we should have kept them under our dominion and without democracy. Which would be against stated goal, so we should have just up and left.

That war was started because Saddam supposedly had WMDs.

He did not have WMDs.

Therefore it was quite the opposite of a success.
The war was started because the UN had a resolution that if Iraq did not allow investigators in to monitor them that it could be enforced with armed conflict.

Iraq purposely flaunted this and faced the stated consequence. I give two shits whether they actually had nukes. I care that a country that had a resolution for beginning war with purposely flaunted that resolution, was mass murdering it's own citizens, and was a stated threat to the United States.

Pretty sure targeting is the only penalty in college that's reviewable since it results in an auto-ejection if confirmed.
They might be able to review who left a bench during a fight or if punches were thrown, but yeah, generally only the most egregious penalties are reviewable.

It is just like if you are reviewing a fumble you can't be like well the runner used illegal hands to the face if it blatantly shows it. It is just whether a fumble occured or not.

Then that's a bullshit rule.

I understand not being able to send it for review for that particular penalty but once you're already reviewing it then any penalties on the play should be on the table.

There was a lot of play after that but that was absolutely a momentum changer. From 16-0 and 4th and 13 to 1st down and then a TD
Yeah, that isn't how it works. You are only allowed to review specific calls and those specific ones.

The only place I have ever seen where a whole play is under review for a review is in the NBA when they review to see if someone was in the restricted area... Which I think that is a bullshit rule personally. Lol.

But, yeah, that couldn't be called there on that review. It was specifically a review of whether targeting occured.

You could do that for just about every single play and find holding. They missed the targeting also. However, since they could review it they were able to get it right.

Acting like a singular missed call changed the game is silly. Anyone could go find missed calls on Ohio State also.

They seriously need to remove the auto-eject from targeting until such point as the refs can be trusted not to just make it up whenever they feel like it.
