I think you guys are getting confused about that scenario. Genie had to serve Aladdin for three wishes, and explicitly states that Aladdin can't wish for more wishes. So, Aladdin can use up the three wishes, which he wants to do because of the princess and Jafar, or he can use two wishes for himself and one wish to make Genie free. If Aladdin uses all three wishes for himself, then Genie just keeps on as a freelance servant, just the same as before.

I just got bottled water, charged all of our portable chargers, filled up on gas. Not sure if I should buy instant food or not

Gonna go to the store and hope they got water. Gonna try to get a lot of canned and dry food. Best to keep it simple. Short of evacuating, there is little else to do.
Fill your bathtub with water if you can, not for drinking, but to be able to flush the toilet if the water does go out or becomes unusable.

Just want to remind you guys of one ray of hope. Don't forget about hurricane Rita in 2005. We were all so panicked through the entire city that the freeways were blocked from people trying to get out. Some people decided they would do nothing and stay home. It was supposed to be Cat 5 and everything, but it turned out to be a dud. So, if you start tipping out, just remember Ike AND Rita. There is at least some chance that it might not end up being as bad as it sounds. I think we will see some significant weather either way, but remember Rita. Don't forget the anxiety level of Rita and the soft, delightful reality that followed.

That's what I'm hoping big time. If the power can stay on or come on not long after we'll be doing better than Ike in that sense.

Maybe. It would create a huge bureaucracy. Maybe an alternative. I don't know. I think in some way, but I can't even begin to imagine how it would be organized. How much do you give to who? Where will the funds come from? Those questions, just for starters.

I been having panic attacks where all my little fears or normal worries are amplified to where I just feel afraid of something bad happening all the time. I also get lots of hot flashes.

Usually go to the cash register and pay for my purchases. I mean, they take, cash, credit, debit, check. It's pretty straight forward. They even have plastic bags for your stuff to carry it out in.
