The answer was the Professor Layton games.
Miracle Mask is the best, closely followed by Unwound/Lost Future and Diabolical/Pandora's Box. Last Specter/Spectre's Call is a solid installment, Azran Legacy is a bit of a letdown, and while I know Curious Village started everything it just doesn't have the level of polish needed to make it great.
Katrielle Layton and the Millionaire's Conspiracy doesn't deserve a spot on this list, but it might make a good coaster for my drink.

I don't like shitty time travel. Harry and Hermione should've died. The only reason they didn't die is because they saved themselves, which only happens because they didn't die. They saved themselves only because they saved themselves.
In addition, the Scabbers twist makes no sense and the rules of Werewolves are poorly defined (Lupin has no control over his werewolf self, but the guy who made him a werewolf has enough control to target children?). And why does Snape have to brew the anti-Werewolf potion? Why doesn't Lupin have a ton of that for himself? What did he do in previous months before he worked at Hogwarts?
They're all pretty good books with some questionable low points, but 3 has the lowest lows of all. Unless you count Fantastic Beasts 2, which is almost entirely lows.

When Corrin got added to Smash. they covered her thighs.
But for the 2D art, they left her thighs uncovered?
When Mythra and Pyra released as Spirits in Ultimate, they gave Mythra tights, because legs too sexy. Pyra had no alterations to her outfit.
Now that Pyra/Mythra is a fighter, Mythra stays as censored as she was, but Pyra has had her thighs covered up (because 3D thighs are too sexy, but 2D thighs are A-OK, apparently).

You can bash a concept and shitty business practice and still buy the game anyway because you don't want to permanently miss out on it

By buying the game you are supporting them. It's like if before and after the election you're telling everyone that Republicans will ruin everything, but come election day you vote Republican anyway. You can say you're "spreading the word" all you want, but you are literally going against your own interest by buying it.
Especially the "it's a shitty port" crowd and the "emulation is better" crowd. If you're in the "it shouldn't be limited-time" crowd, whatever, but the previous 2 have no defense for buying it, unless they don't actually believe their arguments.

It's not that I particularly want it, but what else is even left? Seasons/Ages with LA's toy aesthetic? I'd be more annoyed if this is another untouched kollection like the 3D Marios, over any other option.

The toy aesthetic in LA seems to be because it was a dream? The intro and ending movies in the real world look more realistic.
So hopefully an Oracle duology remake would be entirely in that style.
I'd also be far more willing to pay $60 for Oracles as a two-pack than I was to pay $60 for Awakening.

People been trying to get me into this anime. I can't do it. I keep focusing on more iconic anime. So far watched Cowboy Bebop and Yu Yu Hakusho up until end of dark tournament. I wanted to start Evangelion but Netflix edited the songs.

The only song Netflix changed was the ending theme, although technically that's ~20 songs since they have different singers and instruments

Technically this topic should be modded for Censor Bypass. Using partial curse words doesn't trigger the profanity filter, and therefore is still against the rules. If you want to say someone is a shit head, you have to type the whole word for the filter to catch it. Or you can say s*** head, including only one letter from the censored word in order to be allowed by the old rules.

Let's say you went to McDonald's and purchased 3 burgers. You eat the first two burgers, but then you don't even start the third one and just throw it away. That entire burger has been wasted. You should've never purchased it in the first place. The food was completely wasted. At this point, there's no way to unbuy the burger, so the only thing you can do is eat it or give it to someone else. And most people don't have people ready to eat their food lying around.
So why eat the food? It's already wasted, right? It won't be unwasted just by eating it, right? One could make the argument that by eating it, you're filling yourself up, so your next meal will be smaller to balance out. So if you eat 3 burgers now, you'll have one burger and some fries for dinner. But if you had only eaten 2 burgers for lunch, you'd have had 2 burgers and some fries for dinner, with the third lunch burger still being wasted.

Google and Apple will have no reason to run these stores if they don't make any money, so the stores disappear! Now there's no one place to go to get all of your favorite apps. Now every individual developer needs to distribute them on their own or wait for some other distribution platform which takes a cut. And if developers are forced to distribute their own stuff, they need to pay for servers, so suddenly apps get more expensive.
