The issue of games being different but grouped together will likely initially just be handled with the required console flairs but it's one we're talking about how we want to solve in the long term, possibly by unmerging games that are adequately different. We'd likely allow users to submit these suggestions to us like we currently allow with board flairs.

Won't combining the pages result in like...a lot of trolling and shenanigans? Every board is going to be "Xbot LOL" or "PS-Fail" or the like. Especially on games with timed exclusive DLC or varied content. Imagine if we had cross-platform forums in the Soul Calibur 2 days when all the GameCube kids were flaunting their Link over our Heihachi.

People already go to the forums of other consoles to mock them. This won't change much.

While there are a lot of very good points being made all throughout this topic, there's one very, VERY important thing that everyone seems to be glossing over which causes a problem with this redesign.

This is a merged forum for Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii) and Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (DS). At a glance, this seems like a good idea. Simply merge the two versions of the game into one board. They can't be that different, right?

WRONG.

While I will admit that this is a niche case, it is a case nonetheless. These are two completely separate games developed by two completely separate studios which published at the same time under the same name. Literally any piece of advice, discussion, or anything about the DS game will have NO bearing for the Wii game. You CANNOT just do a blanket merge of every game. You need to go back and investigate older games on a case-by-case basis and figure out which ones can and can't be merged.

Japan loves portability. You can't whip out an Xbox on a bullet train. Playstation and Nintendo both have portable systems which sell really well. Even though PS has started to abandon Portability, the popularity and PS+ accounts remian.
Playstation already had an in before Xbox even came to Japan. The PS1 released in 1994, and the PS2 released in early 2000. Nearly 2 years before Xbox! Why bother getting a second console?
Playstation has exclusives of popular Japanese games like Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter (not anymore), Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, etc. etc. When all of the most popular games are on Playstation and only a few FPS games and racing games are on Xbox, why make the switch?
Xbox couldn't get its foot in the door early on. In order to achieve mass popularity NOW, they'd have to somehow provide an experience that's infinitely better than anything Playstation can give. Game Pass attempts that, but they still need to get the word out better.

iirc Adult Only games straight-up are not allowed on console, which is complete bullshit. It leads to Halo: Combat Evolved having the same rating as Cyberpunk 2077 because the devs paid off the ratings board to not make it AO.

Also this. I worked at TB forever ago and everyone means something different when they say "plain." Did a brief stint at Subway too. Everyone means something different when they say they want "everything" on their sandwich, and absolutely none of them actually want everything. It gets particularly frustrating because people get seriously pissed off and occasionally insulting when you ask for clarification.

Eugh, the "I want everything" people. Oftentimes, they literally just want the regular menu item and shouldn't have said anything.

The fur around an animal's nose is their true fur color.

This one has a white face.

Well this just doesn't make sense. I have a tortoiseshell cat, and when her fur was shaved off a few months back, you could clearly see that the skin is different colors underneath the different colors of fur. There's no "true fur color". They're just different all throughout.
In addition, here's a picture of a cat's nose.

So we see black, white, and orange all surrounding it. So does this mean that this cat's "true fur color" is tri-color?
Also, I suppose this is one of few white Zebras, while most are black?

If he were sloppily greenscreened in his legs would cover the mic, too.
