She was definitely seeing things, including a doppelganger that wasn't actually one. Lots of confusion with that, but hey, it was a beautifully done movie, and definitely something I want to watch again relatively soon. It will probably end up in my top 25, given all the things it did well. Well more specifically the Black Swan. That side of her personality is trying to come out and take over Nina who is the White Swan. Oh yeah those were just general recommendations, didn't mean for them to be my vote, but if you want to run with Requiem, more power to ya! | BetrayedTangy 09/26/22 11:41:24 PM #39 | Glad you enjoyed Black Swan! I watched it a couple months ago and it very quickly became my favorite film. I never would've thought that a coming of age movie, could be such a good psychological thriller. I also agree on how relatable it is. The overbearing parent is so well done its scary and I love that they actually showed the psychological effect this had on Nina. That kind of trauma can really effect your growth and maturity and it ended up hitting pretty close to home BlueCrystalTear posted... There's still something I don't fully understand, and that's what was causing Nina's injuries. What was that on her back that she pulled out? Most of her injuries were caused by either herself or were just in her head as a result of anxiety. What she pulled out of her back was actually a feather that hasn't fully grown yet. I believe her alter ego was scratching at her back to try and get them to grow faster. Also I definitely recommend you check out Aronofsky's other work as well. The Wrestler and Requiem for a Dream are both Top 25 movies for me and he's even got one coming out in December starring Brendon Fraser EDIT: Oh yeah I have another nom. It breaks by either shooting a boulder at it or by getting the snake to destroy it. There's a cage in there with an NPC, you find the key later in the fortress around where the merchant is. This NPC will teach you sorceries and has a pretty cool side quest in the Archives. I do recommend finding the key before you break the wall though. Coincidentally a video popped into my recommendations yesterday about how SotFS ruined the game, and while I don't need a half hour to explain why that is the case it still went into some good detail. OK after I beat this game I'm definitely looking up stuff that I missed, a shame I can't copy my save file to a diff slot so I can do stuff like fight Gwynevere/Gwyndolin without tainting my pure Chosen Undead. I will say when after you beat the game it completely resets your world and progress. You just keep your character, levels, non key items and all the enemies get a health/damage boost while also giving more Souls. So it's a great opportunity to go try some different routes/do any side quests you missed. Also enjoy the DLC! It's truly fantastic, easily one of the my favorite gaming experiences. They have some pretty unique boss fights that definitely stand out at least to me. Gwyndolin Lore - As Cassandra stated, you do get a unique Covenant for killing the Four Kings before getting the Lordvessel. (You have to kill the guy in New Londo to get the water drainage key). You also meet Kaathe, who basically hints at an alternate ending. You don't need to do this for the second ending though. As for the lord souls I usually go Seath > Bed of Chaos > Nito > Four Kings I just always get lost I'm New Londo Ruins so I'd rather do it when I'm overleveled. --- https://www.backloggery.com/betrayedtangerin |
