Do you support or oppose universal pre-K for 3- and 4-year-olds?

In all honesty, America's educational system has been in need of a serious overhaul for decades. That one size fits all schooling that most of us received as kids is seriously outdated.

I'm of the opinion that less is more but in the US teachers are under immense pressure to get kids to do more.

For example, kids shouldn't start school until age 7 and by doing this, kids are allowed to be kids to learn through playing and exploring together. rather than sitting still locked up in a classroom.

The kids start school when they are actually developmentally ready to learn and focus. That first year is followed by only nine years of compulsory school.

Everything after ninth grade would optional and at the age of 16 the students can choose from the following three tracks:

Upper secondary school - this would be a 3-year program that would prepare kids for Matriculation Test that determines their acceptance into college. Students would pick which upper secondary school they would like to attend based on the schools specialties and apply to get into that institution. This would be a mixture of High School and College.

Vocational training - this would be a 3-year program that would train kids for various vocational occupational opportunities i.e. electricians, plumbers, etc.

Just some ideas I had about ways to overhaul the US educational system because our kids lag way behind kids in other developed countries and it's not improving.

Should employers automatically offer 401k plans to employees once their probation ends?

As it stands now, employers offer 401k or similar plans to employees but these are strictly voluntary and most employers do a poor job of informing employees that they even offer 401k or similar retirement plans.

It's estimated that nearly 45% of working people today are not prepared financially for retirement because they have very little or no money saved.

Another 20% claim they'll retire with less than $20,000 saved.

Overall, 64% of Americans say they aren't prepared financially for retirement and most do not care.

These statistics are from a 2019 GOBankingRates survey.

They waited far too long before the first stimulus package and the second one so most people by that time were already treading water financially especially hourly-paid folks or people who actually live "paycheck to paychecK' because whether anyone agrees or not, that is a thing.

Keep in mind that it's estimated that over half of the hourly-paid working people, including those with Full-Time jobs now live in or near the poverty level.

It's also estimated that roughly 1/3rd of people working are now considered Part-Time which means they do not qualify for healthcare coverage so that falls on the States medical programs which means we all contribute to that via taxes.

When people work and still qualify for government assistance for housing, medical and food subsidies, something clearly is wrong here.

On the other hand, we now have a handful of people with an estimated combined net worth of over $3 Trillion dollars.

The top 1 percent in the United States own roughly 40 percent of the nations wealth while the bottom 80 percent own only 7 percent. Clearly, something here is not right.

How concerned are you about illegal immigration?

I understand that people from other places want to come to America to improve their lot in life and to work etc but we have Americans who are in need of decent-paying jobs, a nice place to live. good schools for their kids, access to decent healthcare i.e the American Dream.

I'm beginning to see more and more women with kids living on the street or in cars and we as a country need to address homelessness, drug addiction, etc because as it stands now, millions of Americans have lost hope.

It's estimated that nearly half of the country now lives in or near poverty and these are people with full-time jobs.

I think this could be a good thing considering the state of jobs in America and I'd rather see money spent educating people versus keeping them locked up in prisons.

That would be money spent in a positive way while helping people instead of money being used to house people in prisons which does nothing positive for the people in prison.
