Do you ever worry something like this could happen to you one day?

Dailymail caught Baywatch Star, Jeremy Jackson's ex model-wife Loni Wilson was pictured looking shockingly different after she was made homeless

The 37 y/o former model was seen for the first time in 2 years after living on the street and styling her hair with a toilet brush since 2016

She now battles a crystal meth addiction and spoke about her life crumbled after losing 2 jobs and her mental health deteriorated

2 years ago when she was last seen she said she was doing "just fine" but clearly since her divorce to the 40 y/o baywatch star she has not recovered

She said "I haven't spoken to Jremy. I don't want to speak to my friends. Im doing just fine. I don't want anyone to help me"

She married the star from 2012 until their massive divorce in 2014 when she insisted back then she can live on her own and has everything she needs while in Venice living the affluent life

Loni said "I haven't got a cell phone. I've got food and i've got a place to sleep.I get money here and there and there's food in the bins and near the store. There's lots here"

She lost her job as an assistant at a cosmetic surgery centre in Los Angeles and worked briefly for a realtor who refused to pay her which made her financial situation even worse

With unable to pay bills and not being to hold down a job she was evicted from her lavish West Hollywood aprt and lived on the streets which occurred after divorcing Jeremy.

Dailymail offered to get her help for free with Dr. Larry Marinelli but she refused an went back on the streets 24 hours where she has been living since...

Do you worry this will happen to you one day?

Life can throw any of us a curve ball without warning and there's heads up for that.

The pandemic showed us one thing and that is most of us even if we're giving our best efforts, can end up losing our homes etc.

its almost as if the vast majority of homeless people are addicts or mentally ill or something, and its just not as easy as giving them a free home.

Giving them a free home, however, does make solving those other problems substantially easier, while also being quite a bit cheaper than alternatives. There's a town in Alberta that completely eliminated homelessness with a housing-first approach, which cost them ~$60,000 per person per year. That sounds like a lot, but it was already costing almost twice that to police the homeless population, so they actually ended up saving money while also dramatically improving the prognosis.

Obviously, additional supports are still needed to solve the real problems and keep people from depending on free housing for their entire lives, but housing-first intiatives have been shown to work better than just about anything else. The only reason they aren't more common is because so many people get so butthurt over whether or not they "deserve" housing and let that get in the way of actually solving problems.

No, I don't worry about drug addiction because I stay the fuck away from drugs and alcohol. And considering that roughly half of homeless have substance abuse issues (some of which is concurrent with mental health issues?), that's a pretty good reason why people should stay the fuck away from alcohol and recreational drugs.

The other issue is they have to want help. She turned down treatment, apparently, and has refused to get help from friends as well. Granted, if somebody is abusing illegal drugs, the state probably should be stepping in to put them into a treatment program either way because that's no different than any other involuntary commitment.
