I can't say that I was shocked by the announcement. Before Melinda Gates, I can't recall ever hearing Bill being in a relationship and maybe he was and maybe he kept it private but I do not recall him ever being involved with someone before Melinda.

No idea what can be done about the border but the fact is we have Americans who are in dire need and we have people from countries with no hope because those places have no economy thus there are no jobs or safety nets in place.

On the flip side, employers in America welcome these people because they'll work 6 or 7 days per week sans benefits, works, pay raises, etc and to employers looking to skirt around organized labor in America, that's a win-win.

Just shows this country has a long way to go in terms of race. George Floyd may have been a lot of things but the guy didn't deserve to die in the manner that he did.

You can't convict or murder someone based on their life choices or past criminal history but that happens a lot in America in that whenever an incident occurs that ends the life of a Black person, Whites are quick to nitpick and delve into that person's past as if that warranted the death which it does not. I did Jury Duty a few years ago and while waiting in the selection room, I was appalled at the comments being made by potential jurors in regards to what the verdict would be depending on the color of the person's skin so these people without even being selected to a jury or hearing the facts of a case had already made up their mind. Sad really!

I'd sure hate to think someone judged me based on the company I keep, or for past indiscretions because, at the end of the day, we could all be guilty of that.

When the police stop someone or have that person handcuff, that should not end in that person's death especially when there are more than 2 officers at the scene.

On the flip side, if you stop someone and clearly see that they have a weapon or pose some other threat that could cause bodily harm to you as an officer, then you must dispose of that threat and that doesn't mean killing someone.

There have been incidents of nuclear reactors melting down which is why using nuclear is a touchy subject. Radiation can stay present for hundreds of years so that is one issue with using nuclear energy.

Google Three Mile Island! Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania was a nuclear power plant that experienced a partial reactor meltdown that leaked radiation back in the late 1970s.

It still remains the most significant accident in U.S. commercial nuclear power plant history. It cost $1B and nearly 20 years to clean up.

I think it's cool that medicine has come some far in regard to dentistry but as we were told as kids, it's better to take care of our teeth than it is to have them replaced but there are choices we make and illnesses and diseases, etc that can cause tooth decay and worse, tooth loss despite people's best efforts and medicine.

I believe what I have always believed and that is when police stop a person that should not end in someone getting hurt or dying unless the person stopped poses a threat and most of these police situations end up hurting people who aren't armed so that procedure and police policies need a closer look and perhaps an overhaul but as it stands now far too many people are dying at the hands of police officers and that should only occur if they're attempting to apprehend a known dangerous suspect.

Personally, I'm against abortion but I also do not think it's my place to tell women whether they should or shouldn't consider having an abortion. Every situation is different as I see it so let people make their own health decision. In the end, we'll all pay for our since whatever those may be.

I wouldn't want someone making a decision for me about my health or ridiculing me if I choose differently than the norm.
