Now maybe some of you on here know but I barely have any family left a lot of them died decades ago so really the only thing I had was all the stuff they left me in their will like photo collections. Well apparently the place they stored all this stuff was not set up right and a lot of pictures decayed and were damaged.

So now I barely remember the faces of some of my uncles and my grandparents that died from cancer and just all the years they would take tons of pictures because they wanted future grandkids to know about their lives.

Plus they had journals and diaries and all these papers just deteriorated.

Its all gone and I don't even remember a lot of things. I'm so sad because it was like literally 147,000 different pictures and papers collected for decades and its gone :(

I even had a special scrapbook where I put like 800 of my favorite pictures and notes and they are just gone now.

I will never get them back and I will never be able to remember all of it ever I feel so low right now.

Got a cold 2 times this fucking month already.
Got one first week of October lasted 1 week and then it was over. Then on the weekend got a brand new one starting all over again!

People that abuse kids are complete scum. Being abused at the age of 4 is bad but if he is placed in a loving home now he can still recover and eventually lead a normal life. Kids that are forced to live in abusive environments for years start to have a lot of major problems later in life.

Like I had this job for 2 years.

1 guy joined 2 years ago like a month after me. He was super lazy never did work for like a whole year. Then this year comes around and then he just starts acting like he cares about work and now he is catching up to me fast in terms of amount of money we make in the company and I slave for hours sinking all my time even overtime into work and he just shows up in the last few months trying hard and basically caught up to me and he hasn't even worked as much but everyone loves him more and he is really popular and I'm jealous as fuck. The thing is we are so fucking similar I have to think something must be wrong with me. We are extremely similar like from education, parents, stuff we like, clothes and our jobs are the same. So it feels like he is my popular clone.

1 guy joined last year very similar to me again now we are different but this guy in 1 year managed to surpass people in the company that have been working hard here for 2 years or even 5-8 years already. He is great and nice but I feel like shit because all it took is 67 projects for him and he is 10x ahead of all us even if I have 400 projects done for the company. No joke he is already close to 6 digit salary and I feel worthless like how the hell does he just boost up and I'm here slaving and with crumbs.

Damn CE I'm feeling pretty worthless right now like I work overtime and put so much into my work because I really like it but I don't get any recognition or anything I feel like I should just quit but I don't know what to do.

I mean what would you do in my position if people that started the same as you already passed you and even new guys are way past you now at the company?

Like I have this friend recently married. Now he only gives compliments to girls honestly for the whole time I've known him he has never given compliments to me or any other guy.

BUT when he compliments girls its usually fake af stuff like a recent example.
Random girl we know started playing Splatoon 2 and talked about it. He plays it a lot too. After her talking for 20 minutes. He says its awesome and that she knows more than him so you can tell she is a real fan and not just someone jumping on the bandwagon.

But here is the thing when she was talking she made a ton of mistakes. Mistakes that anyone that played or even listened for 5 minutes would know they are squids and she called them lobsters at least twice and then made other mistakes. My friend knew this and still gave the fake compliment.

He always does this to every girl and he is married so what do you think is his reason for doing this?

Like is he trying to kinda flirt with other girls by giving compliments so they like him and he feels good?
