Like people with no military experience or anyone closely associated with someone in the military.

I grew up in a military city and in a military city. Vets hate the government the most. I take my mom to the VA hospital and those dudes are constantly talking shit about the government.

It seems to me that the dudes who get so uptight about the good ol USA are people who are scared to serve and compensate by being "AMERICA IS SO GREAT YOU SHOULD LEAVE"

The night brims with defiled scum, and is permeated by their rotten stench.
Just think. Now you're all set to hunt and kill to your heart's content.

This. How someone could not tell the difference is baffling.

Fear isn't the only reason someone might not serve. They could have other responsibilities that prevent it.

They could also be ineligible for a number of reasons.

They could have failed to score highly enough on the ASVAB, since each branch has certain requirements to even get in and certain occupations require certain scores.

They could be medically ineligible due to certain birth defects, mental illnesses or disorders, or chronic injuries. They also might just not be physically fit enough to pass the entry level requirements.

They could be excluded due to criminal history; even crimes committed as a minor.

They could be ineligible if their credit history is really bad or the otherwise fail a background check.

Recruiters have told me they could even be ineligible for being too rich, because they might try to use their money to shirk their duties by paying off other soldiers.

Just saying, there are a lot of reasons people can be excluded from military service or at least certain positions.
