If you like detective books, Gone Baby Gone is the 4th of a 6 book series by Dennis Lehane, I highly recommend it. Gone Baby Gone was a great book and movie, but I think a few others in the series are even better

So far though it seems to me Amazon just wasted a ton of money buying the LOTR name and then they slapped it on a generic fantasy show. I see 0 reason why they couldnt have just made this same show in an original universe, there is no Tolkien in here. This is pretty much a fan fiction. Most characters are new creations. The showrunners already said they are just throwing Tolkein's entire timeline out the window and are going to take the dozens of major events that happen over 3,400 years in the Secnond Age and cram them into the same time frame w/ their own original characters/stories mixed in.

To answer your questions, Orcs were around back then in the books. Who knows when the Rings will be made in the show, but they were supposed to be made 1600 years before the birth of Isildur, and he is already alive and grown in the show. No one ever emerged from a meteor in the books.

Havent watched Better Call Saul, but why do people think it is so good? Isnt it just a prequel? Like we already know where Saul and everyone ends up once Breaking Bad starts.

I have been enjoying it quite a bit, great online modes compared to smash that really encourage you to play to unlock stuff. Also super easy to play with friends at other houses and jump into matchmaking.

Gameplay wise it is also really fun, but doesn't have nearly the depth as Smash. All characters have super good recoveries so you can go deep for edge guards, get early kills off the top, and do sweet team combos. Definitely more balanced than Nick ASB, where if you got hit by any character they would 0 to death you. Most characters have decent combos, but can't kill you too early unless they get a good read. Biggest problem for me is defense is way too weak w/ no shielding, especially w/ how hectic doubles can be it is way more rewarding to just mash buttons and spam your best attacks.

Overall though I am already a bit over it and getting back into Smash Ultimate, mostly just play when my buddies can hop on.

Is it all that different than something like photography? They both press a button to get a picture made by a machine, then spend hours looking at thousands of versions of these pictures to pick the best one, and then fine tuning them in photo shop.

Honestly that scene works way better at the end of the movie, hits pretty hard that Peter is just gone from all those prominent moments of the first couple movies.

That was my pulled pork sandwich i made yesterday for my second time. I put a pork shoulder in instapot. Made some coleslaw and put it between some publix hoagie bread and jalepenos.

Thinking about making an egg roll in a bowl i saw online with other back of slaw mix i have and ground beef.

That looks delicious, but be really careful w/ food like that, calories can add up real quick. I would make sure you are using low calorie bread, low calorie bbq sauce, and low calorie dressing on the slaw.

Counting calories on an app like MyFitnessPal is really easy, I would start doing it ASAP. They got pretty much any food at the grocery store already logged in it (or just scan a barcode and nutrition facts are uploaded), they even have lots of popular restaurant menus and all those nutrition facts already loaded. Also be pretty diligent in measuring out or weighing out your food too. One of the biggest reasons diets fail is that people in general massively underestimate how many calories they are actually eating.

Honestly I am curious how Twitter is still allowed? Phub got in tons of trouble a couple years ago because they basically allowed anyone to upload anything they wanted. The New York Times did that whole expose on them about how it was full of CP and revenge porn, and so the hub had to delete like 75% of their content and only publish content from verified users.

Twitter has no such rule I don't think, anyone can post whatever they want, and I doubt Twitter has as many moderators as a giant site like the hub?

ODST is the only Halo game I haven't played, but it is a fan favorite and a lot of Developers have actually said that ODST is their favorite game as well, as it was the only project they had where they weren't rushed for a deadline and had to cut stuff (plus it is a smaller campaign which helped), and they love all the noir elements they were able to add.

I'm sure there are some, but for the life i can't think of any. Everything i know basically is cranking it out week to week, till their season ends of course.

Thats what Im talking about, it would still be released week to week but it would be seasons. Super was like One Piece, where there is a new episode every week for years. Granted a lot of shows are still rushed to finish a season on time, but the schedule isnt nearly as bad as a non stop weekly show.

Yuya Takahashi being art director for episode 114 in Super was the major turning point for the series, even though it was just SSG Goku vs Kefla, the art was on a completely different level. He also did the scene in the OP, and the Vegeta vs Broly fight in the movie. That episode got such huge praise that everyone working on the show knew they had to step up their game big time.

There are rumors of a new series for Super, I just hope they stop the weekly episode format and go with seasons, give the staff enough time to make a quality product and not rush.

A lot of people don't realize just how royally fucked Europe is going to be this winter with a natural gas shortage. Gonna be like the Texas freeze from a couple years ago, but all winter long.

Looks like traversing the world and combat are fun and interesting. However FFXV looked the same way, and that combat is literally just hold O until your enemies are dead, maybe pop a potion if you get low on health and then hold O again.

I'm cooling very quickly on the show, if next season doesn't really change up the formula I'll probably drop it. The characters aren't changing, the same basic storyline keeps repeating, I'm just not really enjoying it.

Pretty much sums up what I was feeling while watching the last season. I felt like they could have done so much more w/ the Soldier Boy storyline, Black Noir was a complete waste of time, Stan Edgar was sidelined way too easy and when he was gone everything in the show just felt less important and consequential. The whole Frenchie storyline w/ the Russian chick also felt like a total waste of time. Didn't really see anything new out of Butcher or Homelander that we didn't get in the last 2 seasons. Hughie and Starlight were probably the only good thing in the season.

Vaught became a complete farce once Edgar was gone and the PR girl became CEO, it felt so unrealistic in the rules setup in the show that it would still be a functioning company and remain any sort of threat, really took me out of everything and my interest dropped significantly. Unless we see a big change in quality for Season 4 I am probably done.

I would lose my shit if they were able to get Goku in, they must have some Toonami/Dragon Ball deal. Been dreaming of Goku in Smash for decades now

I don't think there are any soft lock scenarios in KOTOR by killing NPCs. All the ones you have the option to kill are very minor and have pretty much 0 impact on the overall story, just might make a side quest or planet quest have a slightly different resolution.

I have been playing a lot more Multiversus than Smash recently though, that game is so fun.

Probably a good thing to just base this off the book canon, who knows how many little details the GOT show made to the histories of minor or major houses which could have big impacts in this time period. I just wonder how close they will stick to the books, since this whole story is already written out in a few different sources, this has the potential to be really good.

Finished The Covenant. Spent a good amount of time trying to steal a Wraith I couldnt even keep for 2 minutes, and then spent some time trying to get the double Scarab kill right. In terms of story, Im just more and more disappointed that we dont get to play as Arbiter without co-op, and that his presence is generally less. Hes great when hes on screen.

Yeah Halo 2 got a ton of backlash when it first came out because fans were not happy when they had to play as the Arbiter for half the game (plus the final mission is an Arbiter mission and ends on a cliffhanger), so Bungie did a little over-correction with Halo 3. Unfortunately it wasn't until after Halo 3 came out that the fans really flipped on the Arbiter and the Covenant storyline in Halo 2. Now Arby is one of the top 5 (if not 2 or 3) fan favorite characters in the franchise, and the storyline in Halo 2 is much more appreciated.

Just exited my GUSH position at $185, made a nice $17k profit in about 2 months. I think the oil market still has plenty of room to go up, especially this winter once the natural gas shortage in Europe really starts hitting hard. After getting burned by the meme stocks last year though I am happy to just walk away

If you didn't learn in Halo CE, it is pretty crucial in Halo 2 to use the Plasma Pistol and BR/Carbine combo. Fully charged PP shot to get rid of Elite shields and then a quick head shot w/ the BR. It is one of the best weapon combos in all the Halo games, but in Halo 2 it is especially OP.

Vehicle hijacking in Halo 2 and 3 is also very OP, I find it a lot easier to sneak up on enemy tanks and just board them rather than shoot a million bullets at them if you don't have a rocket launcher. And don't forget rocket launchers can now lock onto enemy vehicles in Halo 2, makes it way easier to deal w/ Banshees.

First level of Halo 2 is notoriously hard, one of the toughest in the game, especially on Legendary.

Remember Halo: CE is 20+ years old and was one of the original games for the Xbox, it revolutionized the fps genre. Still holds up to today, but it is lacking in story/cutscenes. You can tell they tried to squeeze as much as they could but were limited by their scope and the new hardware. Still insane they were able to build massive open ended levels like Silent Cartographer and Halo, as well as massive battles between 3 and 4 different enemy factions w/ vehicles in Assault on the Control Room and Two Betrayals.

Halo 2 looks a lot better and has a lot more story, but that game was also rushed like hell by Microsoft to meet a release deadline. Still a great story and game though.
