Hrm. How did you beat Hell Knight (Tartarus boss a short while ago, probably your trip before the most recent Full Moon)? Their skillsets re: Lightning seems very similar so in theory I'd expect the fights to be a bit similar.

Reached Judgement Sword boss, had some trouble, stopped for now. Advice on beating them seems to be making nihil weapons for Yukari and Aigis, but I don't have nihil bows or guns, so meh.

New character introduced named Ryoji. The most important thing about him is that whoever drew his scarf clearly did after drawing the rest of his body, because the scarf's line thickness is like five times as thick as the rest of his body, it's really weird.

I also like how afterwards, everyone is like "what do we do now? Now we don't know what's happening," when that was basically already the case. When I finish the game, I'll do a write-up comparing it to P5, but things are so vague in this game, it creates a completely different atmosphere.

- Dark Hour, 11/3
- We fight two boss battles: one against Jesus and Smart-Looking Guy, the second against the Shadow boss that looks so bizarre I won't even try to explain it.
- I usually love video game "rivals who have the same powers as you" fights, but this one was lame. The Shadow battle was actually very fun and strategies, though. Jesus and Smart-Looking Guy jump off a bridge, so I'm sure they're dead for real.
- Pharos shows up and says goodbye. I'll be honest, I still don't know what his deal is.
- Everyone celebrates the end of the Dark Hour with a giant feast of sushi. Aigis and Ikutski disappear for a "tune-up," so I'm sure that won't lead to him secretly being evil all along.
- Mitsuru's father shows up and disbands the club. The SEES social link reaches level 7, so probably this means the game is over for real, and all of this is just a very strange ending.
- The clock strikes midnight, and the dark hour starts again, oh my goddddd. Everyone is so surprised that only Junpei stands up from the couch. Well, I suppose they did just stuff themselves on sushi.
- A bell starts to ring, and based on basically no information, Mitsuru declares that we must go to Tartarus. There we find Ikutski and Aigis. He admits that he knew the Dark Hour wouldn't disappear if they destroyed all twelve shadows, and everyone acts very offended, but I mean... So what? I guess he has an evil plan he's going to reveal now, but you would have had to destroy those shadows anyway.
- Anyway, he reveals his evil plan: reunite all twelve shadows into Death to end the world so that it can be restarted. This was also the plan of Mitsuru's grandfather, but not Yukari's father.
- Aigis then attacks us so efficiently that we instantly turn into an anime cutscene and are crucified Jesus-style. That's a pretty powerful attack, I fully expect to have access to it once I get Aigis back in my party. And I'm only partly joking, because everyone awakens apparently unaware that they'd been crucified.
- Ikutski kills Mitsuru's father, Mitsuru's father wounds him, he orders Aigis to kill everyone, but looking at Frank's emotionless anime face snaps her out of it. Then the dog steals Ikutski's remote control for her (apparently everyone just forgot about him, but in fairness, so did I), and Ikutski dies.
- After this, everyone shrugs and goes back to the dorm. So did they drag Mitsuru's dad's body back, or leave it there, or what? But the most important part is going to school the next morning, because little known fact: sick days aren't a thing in Japan.

Alright, so it's time to ask the most important question of all: did literally anyone not see Ikutski being evil coming?

Defeated the Hell Knights, but in fairness, I basically cheated. I looked up their resistances, and the second result was a GameFAQs topic that basically just said to charm them.

The one time Mitsuru's AI would have been useful, and they use fire spells.

Last time on Anagram plays Persona 3:
- I killed Fortune and Strength
- Lots bombs dropped about Shinjiro, Ken, and Akihiko
- Jesus killed Shinjiro
- Ken ran away, then came back
- I realized I'd done social links in a bad order, and that I might have empty days once I finish with Mamoru
- The antagonists' goal appears to just be wanting to keep the Dark Hour in existence because it makes them feel special?

It's now 10/6, and I'm not really sure how much more game I have.

We finally learn that Ken's dead relative isn't a sister, as I speculated, but his mom, and that Shinjiro killed her by accident. Now he's out for revenge, and Shinjiro tells him to just do it. The Strega guy who looks like Jesus (he has a name, but I can't see anything except Jesus, especially when he starts talking about salvation) shows up and says Shinjiro will die from the persona-suppressing drugs anyway, and I love Ken's reaction of "that's not fair, I wanted to kill him."

Even though Jesus is so good at reading people that he can tell Ken plans to commit suicide l later, when he asks which party member can find shadows psychically, he believes him. He takes a shot, but Shinjiro jumps in front of the bullet. Everyone shows up in a poorly-animated cutscene, and Shinjiro dies.

"C'mon, kid, you're just a kid." Is this the successor to "People die when they are killed?"

And then everyone went to school the next day like normal, and somehow the school is aware that a student died and has a memorial already set up. Does... does the school just keep dozens of wreathes ready in a closet just in case?

Overall, Shinjiro's death is an effective scene, and the game even returned his gear to me.
