I don't know if 'lovebird syndrome' is any kind of officially or unofficially-accepted medical phenomenon, but I see it all the time. As was already pointed out, Elizabeth started going downhill after Philip died. Stan Lee didn't last more than a year after his wife passed, iirc. Even my own grandmother went downhill and passed within months of my grandfather, despite the fact that - due to his Alzheimer's and needing to be in a rest home - she'd barely seen him in his last few years. Tho I would say your better match would be with someone who can uplift you, instead of keeping you company in misery. Are you sure you didn't just latch onto someone because they showed you kindness?
