Prequelmemes subreddit exists, and I think that has helped soften some opinion, at least on reddit. Not sure how many of the people there have actually rewatched the movies... I originally liked them but thats because I was a kid when they came out

The fact that E tanks dont start at least partially filled on death and the vertical corridors just seem to go on and on just make the game fucking tedious to play through. Has nothing to do with hand holding. When I get a permanent health upgrade I should be able to use it when I die instead of painstakingly having to fill it up again.

I am a huge Metroid fan but will never beat 1. It is too frustrating. It is 100% a product of its time but they couldve done several things to make it more playable.

Zero Mission was such a great remake.

• New story mode for Octavo

I definitely think part of the effectiveness is using a child who still has a baby face. Seriously...look at her face. She looks like an innocent child. This can elicit an emotional reaction from people who just think anything a child or baby does is cute. Or they irrationally defend them or want her to grow up with confidence, so they support what she says.

People always talk about TIME person of the year. The fact that it upsets people who try to ignore the fact that climate change is real, really has nothing to do with the fact that Greta has been a very influential person. I listened to a very interesting story on NPR about her that went on about how the human mind has a much easier time caring about things that represent an imminent threat from a tangible being. By her explicitly framing things as the fault of politicians and CEOs who refuse to do anything because of money its been really effective at rallying people.
