not fast food restaurants. there's basically no way they can fail with the franchising unless they pick an absolutely awful location.

the town I used to work in closed one of its dunkin donuts that was within a mile of another. and you know what they did? they opened a new one. within a mile of the third one. Want to guess where this newly opened one is located? it's inside a Home Depot.

they only ever have 2 people working because that's all they need for the business they get. but it's right next to the highway and it makes the other dunkies a half mile away less busy, so that one also needs less employees(and doesn't cause drive through traffic to back up into the street anymore)

If I go to mcdonald's at 9am they've got 3 people there. if I go at 1pm and there's a 20 car line and I go inside instead, there's at least 5-6 people working

lmfao? have you ever worked fast food?

it's typical to have open and 2nd shifts overlap, so there's 3-5 extra people(depending on how big and busy the place is) during the lunch and 2-4pm rush. but when it's not busy most places will just have one person in the front, one doing drive-through, and one on the grill. maybe one cleaning or stocking and as a backup in case it suddenly gets busy.

uh, restaurants already do schedule more people for busier times. there's no way you're going into a busy fast food restaurant during lunch and they only have 3-4 people working like they do during slower times. but because of labor laws they can't hire people just to work from 11-2, so they have to give them full shifts in which they're not really needed for the other 4-6 hours

all that middle-management salary can go to his legal troubles now!

only in that they schedule more employees for the busier times.

surge pricing will let them make up for the fact that they need 8 people there during the lunch rush, but 5 of them are useless when they aren't as busy.

yeah I didn't think you would want her to see jail time, and the law will definitely be up for interpretation. I just think they'll find it hard to prove she had any intent to harm(besides making a bully drink something that tastes bad), because she knew all the ingredients even mixed together were non-toxic.

Valery Legasov hung himself 2 years after Chernobyl, even though he wasn't really responsible for any of the deaths, the Soviet government was. but he recorded his testimony before he killed himself, so it's kind of the same situation with the whistle blowing
