No it was very bad judgment for her to do this, because now it's likely she will face consequences well beyond what the original problem was. She really should have known better

He developed a headache and started to feel nauseated shortly after drinking the concoction, officials said. The student has since been discharged from the hospital and is doing well, CBS affiliate KENS-TV reported.

So basically, the kid said he had a headache and felt nauseous. Unless this kid was legitimately throwing up or shitting himself uncontrollably, everything he's claiming is easily faked.

Generally speaking, you can't do the sitcom "oh I'll just poison the food getting stolen" because you legally can't poison people.

Stay on admin's ass until I get results. That's what I did when my kid was getting bullied by an actual teacher, who was in turn allowing other kids to bully him. What I would not do is retaliate against the bullies.

I still think it's a pretty minor incident all things considered, to the point that involving the police seems like overkill, but assuming this is accurate (as in, bully was given the lemon/salt/vinegar blend, as opposed to stealing it), I'm less inclined to side as unequivocally with the arrested mother and bullied kid. Not that it excuses bullying, but you lose some sympathy points if you trick the bully into drinking something that was offered freely.

Bet the little fucker is faking the "sickness" in an effort to torment his victims even more. Salt, lemon, and vinegar won't send you to the hospital. He probably gagged and spit it out immediately

I feel like if this was a movie from the 80s based around a bully victim standing up for himself who did all of this on his own sans mother pretty much everybody would be going "karma" or "poetic justice".

I mean, at the end of the day, if he was hospitalized, there will be documentation from a medical expert that either corroborates or refutes the claim that this mixture led to the hospitalization.

I would for sure feel differently about this if the kid had done it himself rather than the mom doing it. That's pretty much the biggest issue I have here

Also, I have a memory in high school of this kid who kept sack whacking people at recess (not sure if the US has a different schoolyard term for it, in Australia it's sack whacking) and my mate spent a wood work lesson fashioning nails to a thin bit of wood, then shoved it down his pants

He got himself in a position near the sack whacker at recess, who predictably went for it and hurt his hand lol. Fond memories of that moment

Ok, well the difference here is the kid might have actually poisoned his bully since he's the actual victim. So a child, especially with their underdeveloped sense of actions and consequences, might have actually put bleach or rat poison in it.

The mom, as a nurse, intentionally made a nontoxic combination of ingredients to gross the bully out.

So I'm gonna have to disagree, because I think someone intentionally making it nontoxic is the best case scenario and there's no guarantee a bullied child would care about the well-being of their bully.
