The Japanese didn't even find it offensive so its always weird to hear about it. The people who were offended were Americans and Europeans. It seriously feels like it was the start of when people got offended FOR other people WHICH I feel is insulting because that's pretty fucked up.

Being offended for someone who isn't offended is the weirdest shit. The movie wasn't offensive nor did it have racist overtones in it. The only 'offensive' thing was that they put too much thought into bushido which isn't even that ingrained in their society but its an otherwise fine movie.

Maybe I'm getting a bit too offensive in the argument and I don't mean to point it at you but this has been something I've been annoyed about for years now.

This makes me hurt a bit. Mostly because sometimes you need a good amount of time to manage what remains of your loved one's estate.

I understand that, everybody grieves on their own timetable, however it makes sense for a company to be flexible, yet not indefinite on it. They didn't have any strict policy until that guy. Because of him it became 3 days.

If he had not fucked it up for everybody, it might have been reasonable to get a month without an official policy on it.

Yes but that doesn't necessarily make it terrible. People only misunderstood because he was the star of the movie and on the cover. People look at it like its a white savior movie but it was deeper than that and the title itself wasn't meant to call him a samurai or even the last one.

It reminds me of Starship Troopers and how everyone hated it because they never realized it was satire at the time.

I wasn't arguing that it was terrible. I was just laughing at the outcome because yeah the movie was Tom Cruise being the big star so it ended up the way it did.

What's the plural of Samurai? Samurai. The movie isn't calling him a Samurai, its him meeting with the last of the samurai and understanding them. People get this completely wrong all the time.

Fair point, however you can definitely see why people see it that way when he is like literally the sole survivor and part of the plot was that the samurai community had accepted him as one of their own, meaning that of that village he was the last samurai as the rest were women and children.

Getting them used to working at Amazon Warehouses, with it's timed breaks.

Breaks in general (15m/30m/1hr) are timed.

When I worked at Amazon they didn't time or limit our bathroom breaks.

It was also a new distribution center and new locations are normally awesome until people fuck it up.

This one guy ruined bereavement leave for everybody cause he took 3 months, for example. He was also fired the first day he finally came back in.

they are literally going to be coming in from a different universe (this/next) year? Perhaps I am wrong, but have they crossed over at all in any of the other MCU movies/shows (except like in the latest Dr. Strange when they literally came from another universe). The MCU as we've seen it in every other movie (in this era) has had no allusions to mutants or any of that politics at all. Which is why it would be kind of weird (unless they are going to wave it off as they are coming in from a different universe)

He gained almost 10m more votes in 2020 that he didn't have in 2016. In spite of how horrible his presidency was and in particular his handling of COVID, there is a very stupid thing about this country that helps him fail upwards.

Sanders keeps running as an independent for his Senate seat. He only decided when running for President to run as a Democrat as he wouldn't win otherwise. As such, I can't blame the Democratic Party for not wanting to support him, even if the country could benefit from some of the policies Sanders was suggesting.

He also promised in 2016 that he would stay a Dem and not drop them to be Independent again, and then did so anyways.

It's always amazing when people (not you) can't fathom why the DNC/Dem Party establishment doesn't like someone who uses their party to not have primary challengers for their Senatorial seat and then dumps them. No shit they wanted Clinton over him.

There's one highway in my state that's just two lane and goes thru an area that has no auto services for about 60-70 miles. It's just farmland and you can't see anything at night. If I'm going through there during the day, I have quite a few times seen a dead dog on the road, likely just thrown out of their owner's car at full speed to not have to deal with it. That's my guess anyway.

I don't know if any type of organizational body ever goes out there to clean them up. My guess is no and that they are just left to the vultures, which are also out there in numbers.

I'm pretty sure I saw someone throw a kitten out of a car on a 60 mph freeway. I saw a black clump of something exit their passenger window and when I drove by where I saw it happen there was a furry black mass with what looked like blood splattered behind it.

It shouldn't have been, though. He was underage and so had his girlfriend's brother buy him the gun with money Rittenhouse gave him because he was of age. How is that not the same as having someone of age buy cigarettes or alcohol for a minor? It wasn't even a family member who bought it for him. He was also underaged while open carrying that night in Kenosha, if I'm not mistaken.
