He did pretty ok with recent protection orders, however his lesson of barely being fined for violating it twice in regards to one of the NY cases is likely to have stuck with him for the wrong reason.

Ye, it's pretty good. While it's still a bit buggy (well, last I paid attention... no clue if they've improved since I actually looked) versus just Morrowind proper in terms of gameplay and the like unless there is a mod that you explicitly need to enjoy Morrowind I would say it's pretty much the definitive way to play Morrowind at this stage.

I mostly do console so no mods, just DLC/add-ons. I'm sure a lot of people will give me grief for that lol, however it's how it is. So no essential mod I'd need to enjoy it.

I'd obviously be using PC for something like this.

In the old days I remember basically halting game progress around level 20 and taking an hours-long hike into the mountains to grind out my Acrobatics as well as all my magic schools. IIRC it's highly beneficial to have all magic schools mastered before making multi-school custom spells, because said spells can get forever saddled with high casting costs due to sub-optimal skill levels.

Yeah, the higher your skill the less magicka it costs. I barely learned through my last playthrough about using drain skill so you can get 150-200 (not 100% sure on the max) for skills, a strategy I never thought to use back in the day.

Yeah the custom spellmaking is definitely one of the things that makes the game what it is. Gaining access to the mage's guild imperial city section is one of the first things I try to do aside from closing the Bruma Great Gate at a low level to mitigate NPC losses.

I also became painfully aware after installing the game that the GotY Version does NOT include the small-potatoes DLCs like the custom houses, Mehrunes Razor, etc. Biggest kick in the ass is that the game won't even let me re-purchase the Wizard's Tower for some reason (that and Spell Tomes are the only small DLCs I was interested in re-buying at this point) - keeps citing some kind of software malfunction on their end when I try to purchase it.

Fortunately I still have credit from way back in the day for those. Or I bought them a long time ago while on sale.

Recently did Mehrune's Razor for the first time. That was a fun, and lengthy dungeon due to all the leveled loot and enemies with their respawn rate. Was also super cool how they were building a like town down there.

Don't think I've ever finished the Wizard's Tower, that's on my to-do list this time around. Just got the vampire lair in the southern niben bay for the first time. Finding spell tomes is wicked useful, especially early into the game.

Since I got the Battlehorn Castle add-on that becomes my go to base because I like being Lord of a castle and I use those stairs for leveling acrobatics. Chorrol is also my favorite Oblivion city so I like the proximity to it.

I gotta say, I love how the gameplay completely changed in unexpected ways once you got acrobatics and athletics high enough. Like, Oblivion gates turned into something closer to a first person Tony Hawk time attack mode. No point in fighting unless you need resources, you're faster than everything, and with the right angle and momentum, you can sometimes skip practically the entire dungeon.

Also your weight:total factors into speed. With the Cowl of the Gray Fox adding 200 feather I dungeon crawl at around 800 and with Beast of Burden adding 250 for 3 mins or so I max out at 1037 with gear also enhancing (this is gear I've found, not even made specifically for feather). Plus 100 speed and mounts before worthless because of how fast I naturally am. I love Shadowmere, but sorry, pretty irrelevant lol.

And yeah with a high acrobatics the game gets quite broken, especially if you keep the boots of springheel jack like I do which adds +50 acro.

There's Oblivion gates that you're meant to go through the side towers pulling levers/gates to open the proper path, however with a high enough acro you can relatively safely jump down to the bottom using the side flesh wall that makes a ring/ledges and once you're at the bottom just run through the main tower.

And finally, nothing in that game is as broken as getting chameleon to over 100%. With over 100% you can literally just run around, even into enemies, and it will never trigger them into combat. You become truly invisible while still being able to attack/activate things.

Gross that anybody would actually associate RFK Jr. with the good name of Kennedy.

Dude's a piece of shit and has no chance of actually getting in, just being a spoiler, which even then he doesn't seem like a huge threat for that at this point.

I mean, I'm still enjoying it enough to keep at it for old time's sake. But like a lot of people I had a pretty rosy view of Oblivion in hindsight, especially when weighed against Skyrim's criticisms. Issues that I could look past fifteen years ago now make me wonder why I ever put up with this. Leveled versions of unique quest rewards are the effin' worst, for instance: "Hey, why don't you go fuck off in the wilderness until level 25 if you want the best rewards; then you can actually start having fun with the game!" Skyrim obviously has this problem too, but leveling is a lot quicker and far less tedious.

Fair. On both my recent playthroughs I've focused on leveling quickly for the reason you're mentioning. Especially before recreationally closing oblivion gates to make sure the sigil stones are transcendent.

Jumping to level up agility was so dumb

It's easier to level if you take fall damage and gain progress proportional to current level & damage taken.

I also like to cast magic while running up and jumping off stairs/balconies.

Certain states are. I've heard state representatives from both Missouri and North Carolina talking about how they have Dems running in seats they've never been in before or not for a very long time. It will ideally affect down ballot elections even in heavy Republican counties where the Dem will never win, however they'll at least have someone to vote for and the ability to vote for candidates outside of their district.

In NC, specifically, they have Dems running like 119 of 120 seats, if I'm not mistaken.

A reminder that Trump won NC by the least at like 77k.

This weekend I started replaying Oblivion for the first time in over a decade. That game was my first legitimate gaming addiction, but I quickly started to realize why I never went back to it after Skyrim released. The game has aged even worse than Morrowind imo.

That's a shame to hear. I've been replaying it and enjoy it a lot more than I did giving it a shot 5-6 years ago.

A lot of people were ready for a break from the "orphan found in the desert turned Jedi" trope. Though Anakin wasn't technically an orphan. Yet.

Also those 2 stories set up the rebellion and the discovery of the plans for the death star that lead to its eventual destruction. Pretty essential to the storyline even if there's no jedi/sith save for Vader. I actually liked seeing the corporation/Imperial side of the story in Andor where the force is irrelevant to the story. Just regular people showing how they exist within the Empire's oppression.

Maybe it was different back then, however the setting also matters. It's one thing for a character to be walking in the city and see a Taco Bell, another for a Taco Bell to randomly show up on Tatooine or the Death Star cafeteria.

It's not weak, it's all documentation and Cohen was literally convicted of the same crime, so the crime has already been established. Bragg will have to argue that it was more about election interference since Trump was trying to keep this information from the U.S. public, not his wife (we know he doesn't give a shit what his wives think about him).

The Stormy Daniels story would have broke like 2 weeks before the election, it absolutely could have been enough to tank him with independents/Republicans not yet onboard with MAGA, which is why it's more of a case of election interference than hush money, though the latter is the media narrative.

Yes, that's what I said. The correct play would be taking the bill off the table immediately and then slamming Trump and the GOP for having no principles or beliefs that they won't even vote for their own border policy, not pleading for Trump (who Biden has repeatedly called a danger to democracy) to work with him to pass it. This border bill is one of the most cartoonishly authoritarian bills I have ever seen in my life and it never should have been introduced, but that's the correct play with the hand Biden had.

He was asking him to stop getting in the way of it/the issue. That's as far as I saw in the cooperation he asked for.

He knows Trump well and has been caught on a hot mic insulting him, so I don't think he'd actually want his help on passing it, just stop being in the way.
