That is a difficult thing to contend with. On the one hand, time with family is invaluable.

On the other hand, I also have a young child and I am intent on doing whatever I can to make sure she is in a better financial position than I was growing up so she can start her adult life more comfortably and without the limited decisions I had to choose between.

way I see it I could take some number of years off, keep up with my skills as a personal project, and go back to the workforce with a bunch more years of experience

Or... you just take the job now, work it for five years, make your money and retire comfortably pulling $9,166 a month from the interest alone.

OK so say I put my current savings into a high yield account with 4% interest and put conservatively 42k a month of my 50k into that account, after 5 years I would have about 2.837 million.

Elementary school yes. Had a girl push me down and stand on me in the playground, sometimes girls would tease me and take things from me (like my pencils and erasers). I remember one girl was trying to be nasty and told me she didn't trust me around her test, but her plan backfired miraculously when she wrote over everything with pencil just to erase it all...

There was about a one month period in middle school where a group of kids would throw rocks at me as soon as I got off the bus.

Middle school and first two years of high school I hung out with a group of guys who treated me like shit and I don't know why I stuck with them. They always thought I was stupid, never laughed at my jokes, and I was often the butt of their jokes. Only now realizing maybe that's why I have some serious confidence issues.

I also had one off events happen in high school, like one time a kid pushed me onto the stairs for absolutely no reason. Or walking back from lunch a car gunned it into the wrong direction of traffic right towards me. Or another time walking back to school a girl threw a raw egg at my head.

I think that's about the majority of it. I regret not spending more time in middle school with positive influences and I ended up spending a fair amount of my time in high school as a loner, sometimes "visiting" and just watching different social groups at lunch if I was bored.

I tried OTC pills a long ass time ago, don't remember the brand/type but the dose was two pills. First time I only took half a dose (one pill) because I didn't know how it would affect me. It didn't do anything. Second time I took a full dose, laid down on a couch, my muscles went completely lax, I could feel my heartrate slowing down but I couldn't move and I didn't really fall asleep any easier so it was more like sleep paralysis than anything else.

Never touched them again after that. And have always had sleep problems come to think of it. Oh well.

Last time I ran it was a mile and a half and I was at like 13:15 so cut a couple laps off of that and add a few seconds since I don't run.

I also rode the hate train from the moment 76 was announced and made fun of all the glitches and hiccups in game and out after launch

But after giving it a try after some of the later updates I realized it's actually a fun world to explore.

btw Andrew Gower is working on a new game that looks very much like Runescape but seems to promise many more skills and a different gameplay flow. It sounds like the world is more divided up into little zones or parcels that you progress through as you get more powerful.

I hated it in Breath of the Wild (didn't get very far in the game though), and in a lot of games it is just a dumb mechanic, like in Far Cry 2 (guns just disintegrate in your hands), Fallout 3 (nothing like keeping five of the same gun on hand so you can repair your primary one), or Dead Island (because paying money to a machine and putting some parts in there to make your weapon better makes sense).

Man, I feel like companies have been making these claims about solid state batteries for years now.

Maybe they have, I only just started really paying attention the past six months or so because I wanted to get into a new car.

Hyundai seem pretty committed to their EV lineup though, I think they shut down their ICE factory temporarily to focus on EV manufacturing recently.

The Ioniq 6 looks amazing.

Would recommend holding off on buying into one now though, Hyundai and VW (at least, there are probably others) are developing solid state batteries that promise faster charging and longer ranges.

edit: The Ioniq 6 is the cheapest car (of all cars) in most US markets to lease though.

I mean to calculate this because I honestly don't know. I get tuition assistance from the military and the university but it still generally isn't enough to cover the cost of multiple courses per term so I end up paying some amount out of pocket.
