my mom has a terminal illness and will probably pass away in the near future
and I can't concentrate or remember basic shit any more.

have a huge term project I haven't even touched in three weeks, am falling behind on my other class work, can't remember simple shit at work.

Can't even stay awake past 9 to take care of stuff, I try to take care of my wife and kid and then, before, I would just go downstairs and do my homework but now I end up falling asleep before my kid and waking up in the morning feeling like I pulled an all nighter anyway.

Sorry to hear this. Nothing I or anyone can say will make this not suck.

I highly recommend seeking counseling. It wont solve the problem but it might make it easier to process. At a minimum it will give you a place/space to get it all out so you can focus on the other stuff.

this. also to note: enjoy any time you have left with your mother. it all sucks when they pass away.
