Not counting auxiliary stuff like gas, food, internet etc that you'd be paying for even if you weren't going to college/university.
I'm 2 classes away from an associates degree and I haven't spent a dime of my own money, to memory. All been FAFSA grants and financial aid from my employer. --- The name is wackyteen for a reason. Never doubt. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Not a penny.
I went military, not college. Had a college fund via the military if I wanted to use it but never needed it. Also the Navy will pay for 75% of all college even after you use your college fund but again I never had to use it. Got a great job after leaving the Navy and started about 6 weeks after I got home and have been here since June 28th 1999. I'm currently at work right now actually. I'll be starting year 26 next month. My parents paid part of it and I paid part of it from working & student loans.

Not much as my parents paid for tuition, dorm, etc. I just had to cover books, food outside the meal plan, trips home, and anything else I wanted to spend on during the year.

I mean to calculate this because I honestly don't know. I get tuition assistance from the military and the university but it still generally isn't enough to cover the cost of multiple courses per term so I end up paying some amount out of pocket.
