It means absolutely nothing, and has no affect on the human population.

It's honestly just a cool bit of scientific discovery that has been debated for a while, and now seems to have been confirmed a thing that appears to happen every century or so.

Maybe uh... Maybe we shouldn't have closed down 261 after all.

Honestly at this point I can't tell if I'm reliving my youth of reading doom posting every time NASA did something it saw something in space on the Paranormal and Conspiracy board, or if all this Doomerism on CE is just some kind of elaborate ruse.

Either way, it is still kind of amusing, if not a bit sad that some people may legitimately be buying into the nonsense, much like they used to do on the Conspiracy board in its heyday

On that note - RIP old Conspiracy board. I'll forever remember all the "Enjoy your final summer, Niburu incoming!" Posts, and how a few people legit thought crashing a satellite into Jupiter was going to ignite it into a second sun.

I mean, you're kind of doing that yourself right now, aren't you?

I can understand that you don't like to receive gifts, that's not a particularly weird social norm, and a lot of people don't feel comfortable receiving gifts, especially from people that they don't know on a personal level as anything more then just a co-worker.

But your responses through this entire topic don't particularly paint you in an altogether good light, nor does it really help the fact that you were very clearly an asshole in this situation, yet have the mindset of "No I wasn't, I just have boundaries".

Cool, that's great, but did you ever consider that the other person might have societal boundaries too, and that the shitty way you handled the situation might have triggered that same emotional response in him that you don't like when you receive unsolicited gifts? Because it sure as hell doesn't seem like it did.

"Oh but I apologized to him later, and he seems cool now" means fuck all. You're not him, you don't know if he's just smiling and saying "No, it's no big deal", when in reality it IS a big deal to him. The way you handled the situation is shit, the way you're acting towards criticisms towards how you handled the situation is shit, and frankly, it doesn't paint you out to be a particularly good person.

I'm going to go with what others in the topic are saying - I feel worst for your coworker for the way you handled a completely harmless, good faith gesture.

I didn't watch the debate, but it seems unanimous Biden did bad whereas Trump was more coherent but didn't answer a lot of questions or have many facts on hand.

Disappointing. If Trump wins, his presidency will be all about three things: getting back at those who wronged him(people, states, cities and countries) the past 10 years, finding ways to staff every level of government with Trump cronies that are not loyal to the office of president, the government, or the people, just loyal to Trump himself. Which brings me to the third point: finding loopholes to let him do whatever he wants, including staffing all levels of government with Trump cronies.

We can all see this is on the horizon, and none of this would be a surprise. The problem is, none of this benefits any normal US citizen. And we all know this, but alas.

Pretty much this. If Trump wins, it's going to be the definition of a four year lame duck president whose only interest is in doing whatever he can to make his own life better during and after those four years.

My only real concern of that is with the economy already in a poor state thanks to Covid, it's only going to get worst with a president and government who is focused on the petty little orange man's personal gains.

It'll suck, to be sure, but this whole "Oh ma gerd, it's the end of the world, enjoy your final summer of freedom" this is outright hilarious, and shows a gross misunderstanding of presidential and governmental power.

yeah if that happens then the price displayed to the customer was incorrect and the business just committed a crime, in Australia anyway. In America it would probably be celebrated just like how they can advertise incorrect prices and blame it on different taxes in different states or something

Or, in the real world, the customer usually notices the price discrepancy, and the cashier sends them to customer service, where for the majority of businesses, the price that was listed on the shelf is respected (And the File Maintenance clerk is screamed at by upper management for having missed that one particular tag because the part-timer he asked to do that aisle instead threw all their tags into a bag and hid it behind a shelf and played on their phone for their shift. Ask me how I know this!).

This. The people saying "Now they can change the price whenever they want!" aren't aware grocery stores already do this on a daily basis - now it just doesn't require a File Maintenance clerk to manually resticker the price tags.

When I worked at Stop and Shop in that position, one of the things I would have to do is routinely check for any price changes that came down from corporate in the morning and afternoon, appy them manually through the stores inventory system, then print the labels out and replace the price tag in the shelf.

All digital pricing does is remove the need to print and stick new labels on the shelves.

No, not at all. I'm an atheist and don't practice any form of religion or spiritual belief outside of karma and a belief in reincarnation after death, and I would never want to get rid of any form of spiritual or religious belief.

Are there bad faith actors that use religion as a way to shield themselves and allow themselves to do bigotry? Yes, absolutely, but the same can be said for pretty much any form of belief - religious or otherwise.

But for every one of those bad faith actors, there are dozens of the silent majority who simply use religion as a way of self-comfort, community gathering, or a way to connect with their racial and familial heritage and tradition, and the very idea of wanting to take that away from people or "do away with it because we don't need it anymore" is so asininely stupid and intolerant, that you may as well be among the bigots you claim religion spawns.

I've seen religion do more good for people then harm in my life, and for that reason alone I would never want it to go away, even if I don't believe or practice in it, and it floors me there are so many people here that honestly think it should be done away with.

It categorically does not. There have been many, many cases in which people drunk on the fantasy of "defending their home" have killed burglars that either posed no threat or were actively fleeing the house. The law does not magically end at your doorstep, and your home being broken into does not give you a license to be a psychopath.

No, actually, it categorically does. I don't know if you're just some sheltered kid or someone who has never had to live anywhere where there is a potential risk of this sort of thing, but frankly I don't care.

If it's night, and I've been awoken by the sound of someone breaking into my home, my first response is going to be self defense and preservation of me and my family, and call the police after.

This isn't the movies, there isn't a "shoot/hit to disarm" thing going on here. I don't own a gun, but i own several objects that are heavy and blunt. If I'm placed in this scenario, I'm going to hit the burglar as hard as I can in the head with said object, and make sure they go down and don't get back up so that when I call the police, they have time to get here and take care of things from there.

If I hit the person so hard in the temple, skull, or whatever that he doesn't get up again, oh well. I'll feel bad, but I did what I had to do because someone broke into my home illegal, and had the potential to put me and my family at risk.

The fact that *anyone* is actually defending the rights to someone breaking and entering into what should be the one place in your life that is the safest for you and your family is so absurd, that it could only happen here on CE.

Burglars do not have rights when they enter your home illegal. If they didn't want to put themselves in this situation, then they shouldn't have entered your home in the first place, full stop.

It's not the backyard it's in the road or others yards. The leave a giant mess everywhere. The taunting consists of taunting. The parents aren't even home most of the time. The "oldest" who just turned 10 is in charge

If the kids are literally going onto your yard/property and damaging it or leaving litter all over it (as well as taunting your animals maliciously), it is something you can get the local police involved with, as that is a crime.

Though honestly your first step really should be talking to the little shits parents first, and see if you can't come to a mutual understanding, if not - get the authorities involved. I had a similar thing happen a decade or so ago back in Colorado.

Had a family move in next door with a trio of little brats that would constantly harass my mother's outdoor cats, as well as trespass into ours and others yards. The little brats would also "walk" their dog, and by walk, I mean let the thing off it's leash in a town with a leash law, and have it run all over the neighborhood, shitting and tearing up property.

When we - as an entire neighborhood - confronted the parents about it, they got aggressive and said it wasn't their problem, and that "Dogs just wander, get over it", while at the same time threatening to call the local pound to have my mom's outdoor cats rounded up if we ever threatened to do the same for their dog again.

We got the township involved, got a hold of the owner of the house the family was renting from and explained the situation, and had them evicted by the end of the month. Communities have laws and standards that need to be abided by, and if the people living there don't want to abide by them, then it's within your right to get the township involved.

The whole "kids will be kids" excuse doesn't hold water when those kids are a nuisance to the neighberhood.

Someone breaking into your house should not give you a universal license to murder them.

If someone breaks into my home, it absolutely gives me the universal license to do whatever it means to protect myself and my family from someone whose intent I don't know of. If that leads to the burglar's death, then so be it.

No one should have to weigh the consideration of having to potentially go to jail for murder when someone breaks into their home - it's as simple as that. Now obviously in this article we're lacking some details here and only have the information give to the article by the witness and authorities, which claims that the man shot the intruders in the yard of his property, before they actually entered his home, but we also don't know if there was an altercation before the shooting that lead to him feeling threatened, or what.

Even then, however, what should the elderly man done instead? Allow the people to break into his home first before acting? Call the police and hope they arrived before the intruders harmed him or anyone else in the home?

All this, however, is besides the point. The fact that *anyone* in this topic is giving any kind of sympathy or both sides to the burglars is beyond insane. They stole a vehicle, drove it to this man's home, and clearly had the intent to break and enter the home and threaten the man at gunpoint with a replica gun. The man felt threatened, and he took action.

If the three burglars didn't want to risk their lives, they probably shouldn't have committed the crimes that lead them to this point in the first place, which circles back to my original point - if someone breaks into my home while I am there, it absolutely gives me the universal right to do whatever needs doing to protect myself, my family, and my property, include the potential of the person breaking and entering into my home ending up dead, without any fear of repercussions to myself in doing so.

Just to add to it, I was at Universal Studios Florida this weekend, and the Harry Potter sections of the parks were, by far, the most heavily trafficked areas.

Regardless of her views, Harry Potter is a license to print money, and WB knows this.

This. The whole "Well JK Rowling being a Transphobe is going to hurt the Harry Potter Franchise...eventually!" thing is never going to hold water, simply because the overwhelming majority of Harry Potter fans - myself included - really don't give a flying rats ass about whatever the hell Rowling stands for.

The only way Rowling could actually start to harm the Harry Potter franchise for WB is if she started pushing her transphobic views into the Harry Potter medium, and somehow found a way to enforce those views in all forms of Harry Potter media - which frankly is never going to happen. Even if Rowling were to publish a new book that was little more than a thinly veiled novel of bigotry set in the Wizarding World, the end result would be more harm to her, and not the franchise, as people simply wouldn't purchase the book.

WB wanting to buy out the Harry Potter rights from Rowling has very little, if any at all, to do with Rowling's opinions on the trans community and the fear of what it might have on the franchise, and everything to do about WB not wanting to share profits with the creator, especially with Universal's new park opening up with an entire portion of it dedicated to the Wizarding World, as well as the insane success that Hogwarts Legacy received last year.

Any additional gains the company makes by removing Rowling from the name would simply be icing on the cake for them.

I'll probably just continue living my life as I have been, with little to nothing changing, much as it did the last time the Cheetoh was president - just hopefully without a Pandemic for him to fuck up the handling of.

Unlike most posters here, I simply don't subscribe to the doom-mongering, doom-posting, "Ohmagerd It's the end of the world/democracy/freedom" nonsense so many posters here do.

Would the next four years under Trump be an unpleasant time? Absolutely. Would it be a (more) dangerous time for some races and sexualities? Absolutely.

Is it the end of Democracy, the world, or whatever else is constantly peddled here by people that seem to obsess over the potential end of humanity at the drop of hat?

No, sorry, I simply don't believe it will be. If Democracy ever fails in this country, it won't be by the hands an obese, failed businessman and his cult of poorly educated followers.

Call me naive or overly optimistic or privileged or whatever other name or title you want to brand me with for my option, but the country isn't going to devolve into some kind of Fallout-Esque hellscape if the Orange Man wins.

There's enough checks, balances, and guard rails in place that it simply won't happen without an entire over throw of the government, and even then there are fail safes on top of fail safes in place that I can't see it happening in my life time.

People just seem to like to cling to this is that the end of the world is right around the corner, and sadly news media outlets love to use that to get ad revenue, creating a vicious cycle of endless doom saying, which I simply don't subscribe to.

I hope people don't think I'm a bigot for this one, but I felt like a lot the discourse around Hogwarts Legacy was unfair.

I'm not trying to discount how trans people felt because of Rowling's terrible words and attitude towards them, but the people who made the game aren't a part of that, and iirc, there was even a trans character.

I know she gets money since it's her brand, but unless if you are conscious of where the money goes for each of your purchases, it feels hypocritical to criticize others for buying it.

I think most reasonable people had this mindset, and were able to differentiate Hogwarts Legacy and the development team behind it from their creator.

you can doubt that I have experience making games all you want, that's cool, especially when all you are doing is speculation and assumptions anyway.
my asking was because in unreal, PC to console is a fairly straightforward process, the biggest worries have to do with shaders/rendering and physics.

I'm doubting because everything you've stated makes it sound that, at best, you've worked on small indie projects, and nothing anywhere close to the scale and scope of a game the size of Rebirth, especially since your only argument boils down to "Well I worked with Unreal once", and thinking that the only thing that has to be worried about are the graphical sides of things, and not the literal code of the game itself that likely has to be adjusted to run properly on a PC in order to take into consideration the dozens of different hardware configurations a PC can have, to say nothing about any (and plenty) of bugs, crashes, and otherwise major issues that are likely to spring up during the porting process.

Your initial post of "Why hasn't SE said anything about the game releasing, the exclusivity is over, and I want to buy my new toy NOW!" tells me a lot more that you really don't understand the scale and scope of making a console game work properly on the PC platform, or at the very least have a very, VERY limited understanding of how the actual mechanisms of game development work outside of whatever small task you seem to be relegated to on whatever tiny one-off indie project you made a few years ago.

The exclusivity deal being over means literally nothing in the grand scheme of when a console-exclusive game is going to be ported over to the PC, a point that you don't seem to fully grasp, at all.

yes, I make videogames.
they make it in unreal, same with remake, and UE is native for PC already so I'd be super surprised if they weren't at least working on both versions simultaneously

I'm going to have to add some significant doubt to this one, given that you think that just because the game was built in the UE, it means the game can quickly and easily be ported over to the PC platform, when that's not at all how things work.

Remake took over a year and a half to ported over to the PC, and that was with a year long exclusivity deal, and it also was made in the UE engine. SE, as a rule, does not tend to work on ports of games until the game is completely finished, as history as shown time and time again the past.

While I doubt it's going to take them as long to put Rebirth on the PC as it did Remake, since the game only had a three month exclusivity deal compared to Remake's one year, I still wouldn't expect Rebirth to be out until the end of this year at the earliest, or early next year, as Nomura's team probably didn't start work on a PC port of the game until after Rebirth was finished, their post release fixes were completed, and the exclusivity deal was done.

SE also has yet to release XVI on PC as well, and that likely isn't going to release until later this year either, and as this is SE we're talking about, the odds are that they're not going to release XVI and Rebirth in close proximity to one another.

All of that, in short, means that Rebirth likely isn't going to come out on PC until early next year, probably around the same time it came out this year on the PS5.

I think they're scared.

You... Are aware it takes time to develop a video game, yes? SE can't just put the game into a magical machine that goes "brrr" and pop out a PC version of the game.

It's going to take time for Nomura and his team to properly port the game over to the PC platform so it's not a bug-ridden pile of shit, and the time it takes for that process to be completed is going to depend heavily on when they started development on a PC port.

The big issue is at least the cast of BG3 look their age. Due to the anime artstyle quite a few games go for, the characters look inherently much younger than they are.

I think you're missing the point he's trying to make.

Most anime games - unless they are literally classified as Hentai games - do not have sex scenes of any kind. At most, they might have provocative clothing, sexual innuendos, or heavily implied sexy fun times, but never actually show the intimate moments, and especially not as gratuitously as something like Balduer's Gate does.

And yet Sony will *still* go out of their way to censor them for meaningless reasons, even on games where the protagonists are very clearly NOT children or teenagers, whereas Nintendo is basically of the mindset of "Yeah, whatever. Do what you want, they're fictional video game characters that are stated to be of age - go have fun shipping them or whatever".

It's even more stupid in that Sony of America will *only* do this sort of censoring for games that come from Japan, while turning a blind eye to whatever outrageous sexual scenario one of their western developers tosses out into the kindling.

It's a double standard that makes no sense, and Sony is the only publisher now that is actively censoring Japanese made games that come to their platform to this extreme of a level, and often times when it's not needed.

Requiring a dress code beyond "Can you please just show up having showered and wearing something nice" does seem a bit odd, not going to lie, unless it's something fun and optional.

When I got married a few years back, my wife and I tried to keep things pretty simple as far as what was and wasn't allowed. Besides the aforementioned "Shower before you show up, and wear something nice" thing, the big two were no children under 21 (literally so that the poor bar tender didn't have to worry about who he was serving, and I didn't want to have a small child suddenly burst into tears mid-way through the sermon), and no plus ones without vetting them through me first.

It was kind of funny that the no one under twenty-one rule went by just fine, but I actually had a friend and a few of my wife's family members cry and bitch about the no plus one without a vet thing, with one outright throwing a temper tantrum and refusing to go or speak to me again after I told her she couldn't bring her friend.

I don't think people understand that weddings are expensive, and we didn't want to end up paying for people we didn't know or didn't like.

It's complete garbage that this doesn't preclude him from candidacy for president of the goddamn United States. Felons can barely get a job at McDonalds and this actual filth still gets to run for president?

Because this is unprecedented. As was stated earlier in this topic - This has *never* happened before in the history of our country, a country that up until Trump has always held the belief that anyone who ran for President would actually do so under good faith, and with the benefit of the country always at the forefront of their mind.

We've had our share of shitty presidents in the past, but never have we had one even remotely like Trump. Make no mistake, if he does get incarcerated for this, the government absolutely will make changes to the law to prevent felons from running for the position in the future (whether or not any of those changes pass as law is an entirely different topic altogether).

We are literally looking at a possible outcome where Trump is incarcerated (likely a house arrest) and still may actually become sitting President of the United States. This should be satire, not reality, yet here we are.

Trump has opened up a much needed discussion on tighter restrictions for the position - including not being able to run as a felon.

Realistically, you're not wrong. While this is still absolutely good news, and show that the justice system does, in fact, work, the only affect that this is going to have on his run for president is how it affects the republican voters that aren't completely indoctrinated by him.

Even if Trump were to end up in prison, there's nothing in the US law about running for, or even being, President while in prison, because something like this has literally never happened before, and no one thought it ever would.

We're kind of in this weird, uncharted territory right now of "What the fuck happens next", and I imagine when all the dust settles, and everything is said and done, there's probably going to be some new laws made because of this.

I knew he was going to be found guilty on *some* counts, but I never in my wildest dreams thought that the jury would find him guilty on *all* counts, and in such a short time too.

This? This is a good day.

One of the most annoying things I had to deal with for the longest time was the innocuousness of the Xenoblade fandom, and their obsession that any party member joining after the first few hours was a spoiler.

I could at least understand why Fiora would be considered a spoiler, since her death was faked in the first hour of the game, and she only rejoins the party about midway though the game (even though it's revealed she's alive waaay before that).

But Zeke, and even Morag, in XBC2 were the dumbest fucking hills to die on. You fight Morag as a boss once early on in the game before she joins you, and Zeke is literally on the back of the box in a screen shot as being in the player's party, yet people would still mark you for talking about them without a spoiler tag, or not calling them by the number in which they join your party.

It's like the Xenoblade fan base was having their first experience of having additional party members join your team later on in a JRPG or something.

It was as bad as the god awful Free Company in XIV I was in for a awhile who had a rule that you couldn't call any dungeons or trials by their name if you were asking for help, and only by the level requirement, because "spoilers".

It doesn't really ever show the entity or whatever it is. At least not directly. Trailer shows a lot of shots of the family being scared of something they can't see.

You can actually see the monster in the well if you stop the frame quick enough.

It uh... It doesn't look particularly good. It's some kind of humanoid snake monster... You remember how in Bird Box they didn't want to show the creatures because the design for them was so hilariously bad, that Sandra Bullock literally couldn't act the scene out without laughing at the absurdity of the monster design?

Yeah, it's that bad.

Real talk here for a moment -

I haven't played and Assassins Creed since Black Flag, and I'm actually somewhat interested now in this new one given the setting.

Have the games since Black Flag become more stand alone, and less heavy handed on the "Real World" story shit, or is this game likely going to be the fifth episode in a six episode saga or what have you, where I'm going to be missing a shit ton of context and the emphasis is going to be on whatever the hell is going on with Abstergo or whomever the bad guys are now.

Obviously I know we know next to nothing about the next game, but I'm curious if, going by the previous entries, this is something a casual player can jump into and enjoy without having to have been invested in every game that came before it.

Yasuke.

This. The character in the new game is literally Yasuke, the thought to be black samurai and retainer of Oda Nobunaga.

It blows me away that we live in a time where people are upset at being able to play one of the most popular characters from Japanese historical fiction, rather than being excited.

But here we are. Honestly, my biggest concern is if that since Yasuke is in the game as one of the two protagonists, that the developers do Nobunaga justice as a villain.

The man was a brutal conqueror and monster, and I want to see him portrayed as such.

I've played and finished all the numbered games to completion save for XVI, which I'm waiting for a PC release before I pick up (and because I really don't like Yoshida's style of game design).

I've also beaten more or less all of the spin-off titles associated with the numbered titles, save for a handful of old flip-phone mobile games titles.

Apparently there are 37 cases of it developing sporadically with no family history.

Well yeah, that's how genetic hiccups initially begin - Someone has to get the genetic mutation first for it to start to spread down the genetic line.

My point moreso was that there is very, very little reason for anyone to be worried about contracting this if they don't have a family history of it. This is one of those cases were you have a better chance of being struck by lightning multiple times in quick succession than developing this later on in life.

Huh, that's an extremely interesting disease.

On the plus side - it's a genetically passed on disease, so if your family doesn't have it, you can't get the generic mutation that causes it, and like other Prion-based disease, you can be born without the gene, or the gene could never activate.

So, it's nothing to worry about unless your family has a history of it - in which case you probably ought to get tested for the gene yourself.

Between the Paraganglioma concern my wife had that runs in her family, and now this, I'm learning all sorts of things about genetic hiccup diseases like this in the past year.

The comedy I always got from the writing/character dialogue, not like what I described

Fallout 3 dialed back the humor significantly, as Bethesda didn't really understand the satire side of things when they developed the game. 4 was a bit closer to the original design intent of Fallout, but still erred too heavily on the serious side, rather than the satire and humor of the original games.

The humor in NV, and especially 1 and 2, are much more on point with how the TV series handles it's humor and serious tone, which is surprising since Obsidian to my knowledge did not have a hand in writing the TV series.

Fallout has never been a serious WRPG series, and the TV series captures that pretty damn well.

This.

Are... Are people not aware that Fallout has always been a satirical WRPG with a generous helping of comedy interwoven into it's narrative?

The Fallout TV Series strikes the same balance of seriousness and comedy that the games do damn near perfectly.

Teens (13+)/young adult's (18-20) seem to be the target audience these days. With how anti- they are, it's no surprise Fandom and other places are sanitizing sites. "Think of the children" has always been an easy way to change things. We're "protecting them" from mean words on the screen, protecting their fragile minds from evil "sex" related things, and allowing them to freely decapitate people in video games. THINK OF THE CHILDREN; MAN!

Look, I'm going to level with you here - I've had discussions with the age category they're aiming for on this site, and it's never been a pleasant experience.

Just the other night, I had two twenty somethings shrieking at me on the Switch board for saying I didn't want to be play the XBC3 DLC because it's a prequel, and I don't often care to play prequel games unless they're full stand alone titles.

The fact that *anyone* thinks these kids need protecting boggles the belief. If anything, we need some form of protection from them - They can can get downright vicious if you don't like the thing they like as much as they do.

TopicHow would you spend $75,000?
Bladesyphon

Given the stipulations, one of which I'm not particular certain on -

If allowed, I'd basically take my Wife to our planned Disney World vacation in December earlier, and use the money to go all out, with staying two weeks rather than the one, and booking the fancier hotels (Polynesian Resort here I come, baby), and essentially use the $75,000 on the reservation purchases for the flight, hotel, food, etc. during the two weeks stay, and our own money for any of the tangible things we planned to get anyways (Lightsabers, Gifts, Etc.).

The stipulation does state that the $75,000 cannot be used on anything tangible that won't remain after the 48-hours. A hotel room, park ticket, food reservations, etc. aren't really considered a tangible good, as the money is being payed in an advance for the reservations, park tickets, etc.,

That would also leave two solid days of being able to essentially go ham at the parks and Disney Springs on food and experiences, so long as none of the money is spent on any physical or tangible gifts during that 48-hour period. The trickiest part would realistically be spending what money is left over after the flight, hotel, and park and dining reservations, as despite all the comments to the contrary - Disney World is not *that* expensive, and $75,000 is beyond overkill for that.

The alternative option, if for whatever reason a hotel and park reservation is somehow considered tangible, would be to do the same thing, just instead take a mini vacation in NYC nearby - since that would afford the maximum amount of spending time with the money, since I'm a thirty minute drive from the city.

Though still spending $75,000 on stuff to do in NYC would still be really, really fucking difficult while at the same time doing things I actually enjoy doing. If nothing else, it'd be more of an infinite-money pass for me and the wife to do whatever we want in NYC for a 48-hour period, which would still be fun.

Cool

I think my "issue" is how much of a priority I put on physical touch in a relationship. I think it is #1 on my love language test. And I don't necessarily mean sex, as I am a big time cuddler and hand holder.

Everyone's different, and there's nothing wrong with it. Physical intimacy has never been super high on my priority list with my relationships - probably because of how close I grew to my now wife with a two-thousand mile distance between us.

Even now, years later, we still don't really kiss or hold hands like other couples do. We lounge together on the couch watching TV, have sex, and all the other usual things you'd expect from a traditional relationship.

But when we're out and about, we almost never hold hands (though admittedly a lot of that is because she's 5'0, and I'm 6'0, so y'know, it's a bit gangley), and don't really do public displays of affection, even if we're in a more private setting with friends.

Even in the few relationships I had with other girls before we actually started "officially" dating in college, I didn't really do much physical contact with, it's just never been my thing. I much rather prefer going out and doing fun things with people I care about, as that's more my love language, then the physical intimacy aspect.

All that said, however? Online/Long Distance relationships are not easy in any sense of the word, and I know I am very, VERY lucky to have had mine work out as well as it has, and I don't bemoan anyone for thinking these kinds of things aren't for them, or don't understand how they can work out. It requires a very specific kind of mindset and dedication to make them work, and even then it's so, so easy for them to fall apart completely. Even with the happy ending I got with my wife, there were times near the end of my mom's life where the stress reached a boiling point between the two of us that things very nearly fell to complete shit - but we got through it, and it's just a testament that our relationship is that sturdy.

But not everyone is that lucky, which is why I really don't suggest doing what I did unless you've got the mental fortitude for it.

It had a bunch of flash mini games, silly do it yourself activities like writing short stories or making pictures in paint based around Nintendo stuff.

It was your typical late 90s - Early 2000s kids flash website stuff, but it was pretty cool all things considered.
