When they read the ancient prophecy about a girl and her monkey off the cave wall, I couldn't look away. To see that scene being made in 2024 was fascinating. Like seeing someone riding a penny-farthing through your neighborhood.

They did for about 2 months in 2001. Until the Xbox launched.

For me, the most satisfying flop was The Flash. For years Ezra Miller was assaulting people, breaking into homes, grooming children, and just generally behaving like a lunatic. Warner Bros stuck by them every step of the way. Other DC movies were shelved, but not The Flash. They were absolutely determined to get The Flash into theaters. No recasts. They supported Ezra every step of the way, hid them from the press, brought them in for reshoots between court dates. I've never seen a major company show such unwavering support for an obvious piece of shit. There were even suggestions that they'd love to have Ezra back in the role for the new universe.

And then it flopped. Hard. Good.

Yes. She jumped a different girl at school the day before this incident, and was suspended. There is video online of that fight, and her bragging about it. Being suspended, she wasn't even supposed to be at the school the day of this incident. She had her mom drive her there to start this fight.

I am in no way suggesting she deserved what happened. Nobody deserves that. Just debunking the scenario of an innocent bystander being attacked without provocation.

Her mom literally drove her there to fight. The other girl is nerdy, an honor-roll student and college-bound. Kaylee probably thought it would be an easy beat down, and it wasn't.

Final Fantasy 16 was considered a disappointment for Square Enix last year, and this is selling worse than that game did.

When the PS5 first launched Sony claimed that only special Sony approved ssds could be installed because theirs were so super fast that other ones in the market couldn't compete.

I don't know what they said at launch, but now they tell you compatible SSD works and give you the specs of what to buy. Xbox, on the other hand, sell proprietary expansion drives that only work for Xbox and are ridiculously expensive (like $150 for 1TB). Of all the things to attack Sony over, ease of storage upgrades has to be pretty low on the list.

I'm sick of the Suicide Squad. DC has been cramming them down our throats for about 10 years now. Harley Quinn too for that matter.

I've seen nothing to indicate sharing of nude photos is involved. The father's demeanor makes me doubt they were. He asks "do you have a problem with my daughter?" and accuses the kid of "bothering" his daughter, then he just kept asking for an apology. Doesn't seem like statements you'd make towards someone sharing nude photos of your daughter. The kid he's harassing says he hasn't done anything wrong, and says something about photos with his family. A couple other kids come to his defense. The father then starts threatening the kids who were defending him.

Kids also lie and exaggerate, and many parents think their little darling is perfect and infallible. You cannot condone parents "taking matters into their own hands." There are a lot of psycho parents out there.

Any adult who trespasses into a school to threaten and get physical with with a child should be tackled and hauled off to jail. Period.

Fair. Regardless of what preceeded this, we can't have adults barging into schools, making threats and putting their hands on students.

The divorce rate is lower now than it was throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. It was lower in the 1950s and before because married women were basically considered property and were forced to remain in loveless and abusive marriages.

Jon Stewart, whether he acknowledges it or not, is an influential voice in American politics. He's not just some goofy comedian. People respect him. His opinions carry weight.

There was a lot of anticipation surrounding his return to The Daily Show. I think it's fair to say there were more eyes on that 1st show back than there had been for many years.

So what message did he choose to deliver? That both Joe Biden and Donald Trump suck, and are old, and it doesn't really matter which one wins because America loses. This completely dimishes the importance of the coming election, encourages voter apathy, low turnout, 3rd party voting, or write-in campaigns. ALL of which benefit Donald Trump.

There is a reason right wing sites like The Daily Mail and even Elon Musk praised this segment, and its not because "it was fair and balanced".

Maybe a few years from now, as millions of brown people are being deported, women are dying in back alleys trying to get basic healthcare, democrats are "falling out of windows," and Republicans are canceling future elections, Jon can remind us all about that time Joe Biden forgot a guy's name.
