Do they do this with the Pokemon in the new games? Or it a situation newer Pokemon aren't as exciting to buy a figure of compared to Gen I?

Honestly that wouldn't be anywhere near the most I've spent on a collectible. I have 8 First4Figures statues, and a couple of those were over $500.
