I feel like with 4v4 the main mechanic has to be combo/switch attacks, and the individual character's moves are relatively simple. Like it would be rare to have only 1 character on screen at once. Then your opponent can punish multiple of your characters at once if you mess up. It would be like treating your 3 backup character health bars as energy meters that you could spend to be aggressive, or save to be defensive.

NYC is a massive city and it exhibits massive democracy that makes it look closer to a state or country. The fact is, democracy encourages bad candidates all the time. That's why the saying is that democracy is the worst form of government, except all the others.

It's the playbook for national political success. Literally millions of dollars with so little effort.

The praise is de strongest from people who absolutely hate JRPGs. But hey, maybe after a couple of these they'll go back to the old FFs with a new appreciation.

I do think the biggest genre achievement they did with this game is make it only 20 hours long. It's shorter than the new Doom game. That alone is pretty magical, and I'd love to see more RPGs with this pacing & density.

I can't personally weigh in, but my understanding is that each Bayonetta being notably worse with each entry is the ice cold take.

2 is distinctly weaker than 1 (other than post-game content), I haven't played 3 but it does sounds worse than 2

Absolutely, more than any indie game benefits from.

More than that, it is a meme. Gamers will obliterate your game and/or your self for the meme. Meme energy also does not necessarily translate into sales, so it's all risk no reward.

That last one was giving off framing vibes of, like....final boss energy back in the real world.

Masked Alicia is painted by the mom. Sister is basically the Yojimbo of the game.

If you want all the story, apparently the optional quests provide a lot.

I like the secrets, they can be a nice break and you'll find them if you just explore the whole map. But it is annoying that gold is a secret even though it's so important. All the other rewards can be ignored but not gold.

That would be cool, but it's clear that they were told to pad out the playtime here. Not sure why since the game is pretty long already. Titanfall 2 is basically what you're describing and it's the best.

Yeah I don't think the rules can fix bad players, the host and community should handle that. But given a less active community, you do have to scrape the bottom of the barrel and take what you can get. In that case, it's possible that rules could prevent some of the worst play. I haven't seen it work myself but I get the idea.

You missed the key stats then. Airbus started winning hard, which caused Boeing to rush with the 737 MAX to catch up. Maybe a pre-merger Boeing would've been competent enough to do a rush job properly, who knows. And also, the 787 is equally shit as the 737 MAX, but it's super successful, so that's a big win for McD if you're thinking that way.

My point is, don't be shocked when this starts happening with other US brands that seem impossible to topple. Apple, Coke, etc.

Don't have time to watch the video right now, but if it isn't heavily about how Boeing was ultimately destroyed by the McDonnell Douglas merger then its missing the point, imo.

It looks at a larger timeline, but obv it talks about it. But to blame the merger entirely for the issue is missing an even larger point. It's not just Boeing and it's not just mergers.

So many other industries have been quietly improving outside of the US in a similar way, and they will hit a similar tipping point. It's a systemic geopolitical issue that has caused the US to lose power, not a handful of poor business tactics.

Episode 5 is insane. Watching it right after 4 makes you instantly notice the eyes Nathan does when he's rejected, and that meeting's whole parallel with the kissing pilot scenes. Also all the autism stuff is genius. He lingers on "this show has nothing to do with autism..." like 3 seconds longer than normal. Then when he's more explicit about being autistic, phrases like "well everyone thinks that way" hit hard. I didn't think about the autism angle to the show much but it's cool that he's basically confirming it here.
