Like the gas station on the first island has really long islands for like 3 pumps, but then each one only has... one pump each. I would recommend setting a goal to work towards (maybe you want a luxury apartment to run heists from, maybe you want to get the Kosatka so you can run Cayo Perico for yourself and grind out money for everything else, stuff like that). If you plan on getting into it, there are lots of ways to get money for free upfront: 1) Enable 2FA on your RSC account. 2) If you have Amazon Prime you can link that to your RSC account and get free money (and they give out properties and property upgrades from time to time). 3) Collectibles - you can find the locations on a Wiki for the page. 4) There are three RDR2 tie-in weapons (Navy Service Revolver, Stone Hatchet and a Double Action Revolver, something like that). You can track these down and then complete specific challenges with each for hundreds of thousands of dollars. And the challenges aren't too hard (like, get 50 headshots, get 20 kills, etc.). 5) Participate in open world challenges where you can. Also you should be able to do the Lucky Wheel at the Casino from level 1, it has a 24 hour cooldown from when you spin it so definitely do that first thing you log on. I believe you need a PS Plus subscription for the PS versions but you don't need to pay a sub for GTA Online specifically. | Hexenherz 11/11/21 10:46:56 AM #8 | If you're carrying a lot of cash you can lose some of it when you get killed, but you can just deposit it through your bank app on your phone in a matter of seconds and there's no reason to keep cash on hand ever. If one person kills you enough times then you'll be invited to request a one-on-one duel with them. If you're doing a mission like selling a stolen car or moving counterfeit money from a business and it gets destroyed then you lose that product. Griefing can still be a serious issue and they've actually been added a lot of stuff to the game to make it... easier to grief lol (like an A-10 Warthog that can take a ton of damage, or the Mk II Oppressor which is a small flying hoverbike thing). It is an amazing game, one of the most engaging open world titles I've ever played. The general idea is you are playing in an open world session with up to about 26 other players. You can roll solo, or team up with other people. You make money by doing missions - these can be played out on the open world map itself in the session or they can be instanced. There are also competitive game modes (deathmatches, races, Mad Max-style races, and a whole lot more) that are instanced, and open world challenges that pop up randomly and pit you against the other players on the server (things like "fly as close to the ground as possible for as long as possible"). This all gives money. You spend the money on weapons, vehicles and properties. Vehicles include everything from golf carts to minisubmarines to a V-22-style command post with cannons. Properties include everything from airplane hangars to apartments, an arcade, night club, yacht, luxury penthouse, bunker for smuggling guns, an office, a motorcycle clubhouse, etc. And then one of the biggest draw imo is the Heist missions, which you might think of like Dungeons in traditional MMO games. Each Heist has a series of set-up missions you have to complete. The newer ones have these set-up missions play out in the open world session. Then there's the finale, and you complete that and you get maaad money. With this latest Los Santos Customs update they actually added in mini-heists (Contracts) that are heavily based on the Fast and the Furious movies. The biggest detractor to me is the amount of modders, but I play on PC. There are days where you just want to log in and play and relax and there's no relaxing because some guy is spawning exploding blow-up dolls on everyone. And then your game crashes and it takes a minute and a half to load again and you say screw it.
