I own both, but I do believe one reason the 360 sold more was definitely the number of people that bought multiples because of the red ring of death. I know three people that bought 2 or 3 because of this.

But, between the two I do prefer the 360. If we include the Wii, I prefer that over both.

FF6 is interesting because the "main character" changes constantly. for a good chunk of the first half it's Terra, for a smaller chunk of the second half it's Celes, and everyone is the main character of their own stories, but ultimately the "main character" is everyone in the party as a whole, representing the people of that world.

That's the Freemason Square and Compasses. But I don't know what category applies to them. It does reference technology. There are conspiracy theories about them. Due to political polarization everything is either left or right wing depending on the ideology of the person complaining about it. I don't think it relates to food, sports, or pets.
