real nice. im tempted to get one just b/c it seems like a cool toy, but i barely use my Switch in handheld mode b/c i mostly game at home, so i doubt i'd justify the purchase

So what is the problem? I would rather live in Bidens America than trumps fascist dictatorship. Paying a little extra in prices is a small price to pay for democracy. Imagine if trump was still president things would be much more expensive. If I have to pay an extra quarter for a burger at McDonald's big deal I would pay so much more to be free. And if you can afford a 30k car you are already rich so what is the big deal with paying more?

never once have i ever contested that Amazon is not valuable, nor did i ever suggest it shouldn't exist. what i did suggest is that i think the sheer amount of wealth Amazon's founder has amassed is unfair, and you somehow can't understand the difference there. so yes, it's probably for the best we just stop.

i didn't dismiss it. i ignored it because it was irrelevant to the points i made. but, sure, just to humor you .... i aknowledge that Amazon provides a benefit to millions of people through convenience.

but i still stand by every point i made about why i don't like the fact that Bezos has as much wealth as he does. and i don't see how that acknowledgement affects anything i said.

But he earned that wealth. Millions of people around the world use something he created and they use it because they see value in it. That creates profit. He then went and redistributed that profit to the thousands of people directly and indirectly involved in the production of this yacht. What exactly do you see wrong with this picture?

i don't really want to completely derail this topic to go on a rant about why i dislike that, but in summary:

• he couldn't have earned that wealth without the work of tens of thousands of others who earn a fraction of what he does.
• he couldn't have earned that wealth without the trillions of dollars worth of infrastructure his company uses to profit.
• it's obscene to me that he makes like 3000x the amount of the actual workers do.
• taxpayers subsidize profits for companies like Amazon when their employees are so underpaid they qualify for welfare / food stamps / etc, which is absolutely fucked.

i dont really feel like getting into a big debate over this, just summarizing my thoughts.

idk if i was looking at a bad time or what, but i joined twitter just to subscribe to a guy who tweeted drops. i had a couple of shots at getting a super inflated bundle from Gamestop with $300 of shit I didn't want or need. fuck that noise. i tried the Walmart and Amazon drops like four or five times and each time I sat at my PC spamming F5 for over an hour with no luck. at that point i just said fuck it and bought parts for a new PC
