Debatable. Marvel has many characters like Killmonger who have stated good intentions but questionable methods. Submariner, Dr. Doom, Gen Thunderbolt Ross, Galactus- even the Hulk and Dr. Strange have fulfilled that role.

It's a common Marvel trope since the 1960's. Lee, Kirby and Ditko had extensive discussions on creating "complicated" characters to distinguish themselves from DC.

They did.

Fair and next.

BTW diplomatic immunity isn't the get out of jail free card people think it is. It's like a company phone or vehicle - it can be taken away and/or restricted by your government at will.

It's also not a license to kill. It's protection from low level, non violent and/or frivolous prosecution like parking tickets, code and moving violations. What she did was neither low level or frivolous.

I have noticed this - hence why I get condiments on the side. I used to ask for just one line, but when the guy is squeezing the daylights out of the bottle and moving it at a snails pace, "one line" becomes a puddle.

I don't go to Subway much any more but the last few times I did, I asked for condiments on the side. They way overdo it at Subway.

But if you ask for oil and vinegar they give you just a couple shakes of each.

And why no horseradish sauce for the roast beef?

When I lived there I was astonished that someone, somehow convinced the Japanese that all Americans eat KFC for Xmas. People are placing orders in early November for Xmas KFC.

No amount of explanation can convince them that they are wrong about this belief.

Not every Japanese person believes this, but many, many do.

brestugo
12/09/21 9:02:35 PM

Foppe posted...
It is a slang term for a situation that is chaotic or confusing, possibly due to poor or misunderstood instructions.
The term goes back to the early 1900s, and is alleged to have originated when a ship run by British officers and a Chinese crew practised a fire drill for a fire in the engine room. The bucket brigade were to draw water from the starboard side, pass it to the engine room, and pour it onto the 'fire'. To prevent flooding, a separate crew was to ferry the accumulated water from the engine room up to the main deck and heave the water over the port side. The drill had previously gone according to plan until the orders became confused in translation. The bucket brigade began to draw the water from the starboard side, run directly over to the port side and then throw the water overboard, bypassing the engine room completely.
This.

Up until about the mid 1990s, HS kids and some adults would stop at a red light and everyone would exit the still running car and run counter clockwise to the next door, enter and try to be seated before the light changed. This was also known as a "Chinese fire drill".

My only issue is there should be no pimp or madam and the sex worker should be an independent contractor. Even better if s/he is unionized like in Amsterdam.
