When it comes to people and their pets, the question often isnt what youd do for them, but what you wouldnt do. For one American airline passenger, the latter doesnt seem to include breastfeeding. Delta has tightened regulations regarding emotional support animals over the last few years after experiencing an 84 per cent increase in incidents. However, unlike this case, it is usually the animal acting up. Passengers are still allowed to bring their small dogs and cats in the cabin but they must stay in a kennel under the seat in front for the entire flight. This does include an additional charge for customers. The phrase emotionally supportive has been interpreted broadly over the years, and in a statement, Delta said they had seen comfort turkeys, gliding possums known as sugar gliders, snakes, spiders, and more, taken on planes. One of the more famous flyers was Daniel the Emotional Support Duck, who accompanied a 37-year-old woman with PTSD on a flight in 2016. The slaves basically built San Bernardino and Riverside County and worked the orange groves and other agricultural jobs. A man charged with running a scam that cheated a woman out of more than $80,000 missed a recent court date and was supposed to be rearrested, but his attorney says that will be impossible because his client has been dead for months. Johnny Masesas attorney told state's attorneys in June that he received a death certificate saying his client died from complications of malaria in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he has family. The Connecticut Post reportedpolice and federal authorities have been unable to confirm the authenticity of the death certificate. Masesa and others are charged scamming a Connecticut woman out of $83,000 by posing as representatives of the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes. The woman told authorities someone called her and said she was in the running for a prize but needed to transfer money in order to claim it. Some of the money wound up in an account under Masesa's name, according to authorities. The 45-year-old Masesa was arrested in 2019 and pleaded not guilty, and posted a $25,000 bond using a Florida address, the Post reported. He was scheduled in court on Nov. 4 but didn't appear. Supervisory Assistant States Attorney Howard Stein told the newspaper the death certificate was written by hand and appeared to have several spots where corrections were made with correction fluid. Stein said he didn't suspect attorney Douglas Rudolph of wrongdoing, and Rudolph said he has been unable to reach the doctor listed on the death certificate, the Post reported. Plus, there were a couple recall issues, that were minor but still something. Now I get something just off lease from a no-haggle place like Carmax. I bring my own financing (if necessary) from my credit union. The depreciation has already hit, the features are modern, it's been inspected and has a warranty. I then run it until it quits or needs a repair greater than it's worth (that's never happened, though). --- Newsom 2022 |
