With the Fortnite account example, they were like "Yes your existing account works on Playstation hooray!" but then what they didn't tell people is that as soon as you used said account on Playstation, it locked it to only being useable on Playstation. Look how long it took Sony to allow cross platform play, when Nintendo and Microsoft had it long before. Hell, for the longest time you couldn't even play games like Fortnite on Playstation if the account had been used on a Nintendo or Microsoft system first. Scalpers aren't worried about sitting on product because they mark them up so high they don't have to sell very much to break even, and as human history has shown, people can't stop themselves from buying from scalpers when they have no other choice. The company producing them can attempt to flood the market, but they can only do it as much as retail will allow them. Fucking Pineco. I couldn't explain it. Something about a pinecone with eyes appealed to me. Years later, my little cousin's favorite Pokemon was Ferroseed, and it stuck out to me because it was like "holy shit that's just New Pineco." His reasoning? "It looks like a football." That was it.
