The problem is actually that they open up everything immediately, so people are going to naturally want to try for combos. Really the first dungeon you should just focus on not getting hit, recognizing telegraphed attacks, and abusing weaknesses.

Yeah this is a problem too. How are you supposed to actually learn the combat system when Ambush -> AOA instantly ends most non-boss encounters? And then the numerical scaling is legit off so when you do hit a (mini)boss it gets rough.

It really does smooth out immensely after the first dungeon, though. If I have any recommendations before then it's to upgrade the shop to level 2 with Bond points and start hoarding revival pills.

The difficulty curve on the first dungeon is absolutely wild like that. The boss especially is just weirdly way more difficult than it should be even though random mobs are completely non-threatening most of the time. After that it evens out.

Pretty on-brand for a Persona game tbqh.

There is more backlash because the GOP had time to build the narrative that Democrats are unfairly stealing and rigging the election. They continue to use this narrative to justify anti-democratic laws and policies like the ones in Georgia. A lot of the backlash is against democracy itself. Trump was just able to fuel this by vocalizing it.

To be fair, after four years of Trump and a year of Covid, I get wanting a detox from politics where you don't pay attention to the news cycle for a while because the last 4 years were a living hell. I mean we can't afford it, but I get it.

I mean even if you are paying attention to the news cycle, mainstream news itself is considerably more tame. I feel like a lot of that is due to what Not An Owl is saying here. A lot of shit is still awful (border, criminal justice, covid, whatever) and it's exhausting.

Even the Chauvin trial stuff is like...we all know the score here. I don't expect much new info to come out. It doesn't register as newsworthy until the verdict, we've just seen this same shit too many times.

Yeah both dot classes (SMN and BRD) cap at two dots and get a skill that refreshes both at the same time so it's less bookkeeping than you would think. You just really have to train your brain around that 30s timer (or if you're like me be constantly scanning your hotbars for info during fights lmao).

The first expansion is a major step up. The base story doesn't really start to get any sort of interesting until right around level 35, and even then it's pretty basic. The post-game also has a lot of filler, but it will pick up a lot when they get to the setup for Heavansward.

What DPS did you pick if you don't mind me asking? You mentioned not liking Summoner in the past so I figure I'd let you know they streamlined that one a lot (and gave it even cooler summons at level 70). It's still one of the more complex classes but not by a huge margin anymore. Though if you don't like dot management in general I'd still stay away.

Some people really dislike it on a lore level since the premise is intentionally out of place and no previous crossover has been this big or considered "main" content. The story also takes forever to go anywhere. Still not sure if it is going anywhere! (still better than the ivalice ones tho)

Also they've pretty consistently been easier at release than past 24-mans which is a little disappointing.

Oh okay, that's a lot better at least. I should also mention if you want a decent weapon relatively quickly, you should start the current relic. It starts at i485 and is basically free. You can get it by picking up the "Hail to the Queen" quesy in Kugane and following that for a while.

Just note that upgrading the relic past the initial free one is extremely grindy and if you want to avoid that just stop after that.

If you already bought a better weapon then you can use it to gear alts (it lets you buy more weapons for 1000 poetics each) but it's not as high a priority.

I mean we can talk about it's also dumb that people besides those five were penalized or moved to remote work apparently because they smoked weed too! So when I unlocked Puppet Bunker it gave me a message saying I would only be able to get 1 item from the raid, I assume because it's the newest...but when I did it, I was able to throw my lot in for everything. Did I misunderstand?

There are gear drops, coins, and materia clusters. Everything but the cluster is unlocked. The gear you can roll on and win as much as you want. You get one coin each time you complete a run. The cluster you can only get one per week but also materia is plentiful so it isn't a big deal.

Keep in mind this is because it's an even patch and that raid is outdated. 24-mans release on odd patches. So next month when the third part drops, all 3 loot drops will be on one item per week for the new one. So make sure to only roll on gear you actually want.

Edit: Also idk if you know what the coins do but they are used to upgrade whatever the current tome set is. So save your coins because you will need one from Factory, one from Bunker, and one from the unreleased one to upgrade ONE cryptlurker piece.

It's a dumb move, but I don't think Biden would stand in the way of decriminalization or legalization so it's really up to Congress to do it and send it to him and I think the support is there though I don't know where it is on the priority list.

Not only do I not believe the support is there naturally but it certainly won't be pressured to move up in the priority list when the President himself won't push it because he's too busy firing staff over weed.

And I just really don't get the "it's the law and can't be helped" argument when the US government IS the law and breaks or bends it all the time. They could stand to ignore a bad law! ALSO these staffers had been told it was likely to be overlooked so it's just scummy.

Yeah this is the thing I ran into where it was seemingly fixed by taking it out of the 'saved for later' part of the cart and relaunching the app. I think - the app was clearly struggling with something but that's the only thing I changed besides relaunching a few times.

So after I added it to my cart the first time and failed checkout it put it in the "save for later" part and the normal add to card button disappeared at 2:20 I had to remove it from that list to try again for 2:30 and that worked for me.

Smaller government, lower taxes, free speech, supporting small businesses, off the top of my head. Most of that side has twisted or abandoned those ideas, but I think at their core they are decent (or at least worth-considering) ones. And I don't want to get suckered into a feedback loop cult if the next one comes from the left.

None of these except lower taxes are supported by American conservatism. There's an argument for supporting small businesses, but that's not exclusive. Liberals and leftists also tend to support small businesses but for different reasons.

TBH it's important to try to understand the conservative mindset most of the time it really isn't that deep. And the main thing is that it's very rarely worth the effort to engage. You don't really need the good faith kid gloves that often.
