Looks like Otogibara Era graduated from Nijisanji? Sad because her clips were some of the first that sent me in to VTubers.

Looks like it was all amicable, sounds like she left to do something else, think she said something to the effect that she found "something she wanted to do in her life" so it's good over-all, still sad to see her go.

Which are just Cover covering their asses due to new japanese laws regarding gore, etc as well as to prevent demonetization en masse from youtube for suicidal/very dark themes. It's not cover trying to control them, fortunately.

I thought I edited that in, but yeah. Dunno why I have just a fuckin' blank edit. Found out about the new Japanese laws after the fact while reading about the new Resident Evil being censored(specifically no decap's or severe head traumas and I think less gore.)

Yeah, it was "security issues" but from what she's said they've not been much more informative than that and given it started before she moved back home who knows what triggered it really.

Might be related to when Nene accidentally streamed on Kiara's account sometime after the oriends concert. Think it was on the 25th or around there?

She could continue the series on say Nico Nico Douga, I mean Cover had the Bloom concert on there. I'd say Haachama should get permission from Cover to finish it there.

It's entirely possible they don't want her to do stuff like that in general any more for the image of the company, or various other reasons. Could just be youtube, but "with the new rules" sounds like its a Cover thing unless Youtube changed rules again.

Pikamee is taking a little break from streaming because her new cat has some form of genetic illness apparently, and won't be alive for much longer. There's a post in Japanese about it on her community page on Youtube. At least if my translator got everything right.

Sad to hear it, Pika's been having it rough of late with her repeated technical difficulties, Monoe getting fired, and now this.

I have no doubt it's not intentional, especially from how Pika reacted so quickly. You have to keep in mind that if we had no understanding of what that word actually means in the English language, it's legit just a combination of two words that have no lewd meaning on the average.

Also has encourages her fans to work out based on how much she cusses. It's a weirdly different vibe from other VTubers, but I like it.

Ah that sucks. Moving a PC can be pretty stressful especially when everyone has different opinions. Glad it wasn't anything bad though.

I'm kinda hoping they go for a gen 2 at this point, since just recruiting one person to fill a role would probably leave a bit of a sore spot with Pika and Tomoshika considering the three seemed pretty close from their reactions.

Monoe's vids got privated real quick though. I think nobody managed to save all the videos, but the few recent ones might see some uploads in an archive channel somewhere.

I know it's not good to speculate but I kinda feel like it was a copyright thing from a bigger company because of this. I saw it on Twitter pretty much as soon as it happened and Monoes channel was already privated. I can't really think of too much else that would warrant a response like that, or one that quick anyway.

That said they are just private and not gone, you can still find some of them with YouTube search wizardry and still on that channel.

Jitomi Monoe of VOMS graduated today due to some contract issue. Pikamee just made a short announcement live stream and sounded really genuinely on the verge of tears.

Really sad about it as Monoe was a pretty great singer.

It's fucking baffling that they are going this hard and for this long over showing the fucking word Taiwan. Plenty of others who actively champion them that don't get nearly as much attention.

It's most likely a very small very bitter group of people and bots. It's easy to stay stupid and angry when it's all you hear in a echo chamber.

I hate this so much. It's so easy to take something with such good intentions and turn it in to a shit fest by doing stuff like this, especially with something as ambiguous as "whiteness" as though blanket-terming the privilege isn't exactly how society ended up in the fucking state it's in right now. People in general are fucked up and always looking for the next thing to hate, and the only real way to fix it--to the best of our abilities any way--is to fix our general god awful education system from the ground up. I think this is a general example of why it needs to happen.

Don't care about that at all, and it's really not used for that at all. It's used as a way to make more of the corrupt and aged mainstream money.

Mostly I'm bitter it exists because it kinda ruins my favorite hobby and creates massive power draws that don't really serve to do anything meaningful.

I know about it and avoid it. Partially because I'm very bitter against it even existing, but also because I don't gamble at all.

Final Fantasy XV isn't even anywhere close to as bad as all the hate makes it seem. It certainly doesn't feel like a FF game honestly but I had fun with it, enough to call it a good game.

Most anime runs on pure unfiltered cringe. I say this as someone who actually watches and likes a good bit of anime.

Problem with this is in literally every generation it is way easier to find over produced stuff because... Well, shit. That's what people party/dance to.

As I get older, my musical tastes have remained pretty fluid honestly, but I put in effort to find stuff that I like from newer artists.

UI and get in to either MMA or boxing. Easy way to get more than that kinda money.

Assuming I have no gun, jump the counter and start throwing hands while this idiot screws on a suppressor for dramatic effect.

If I do have a gun, same thing just start blasting instead.

The story really isn't anything to write home about, it's basically just a series of events the gods put in to effect to perpetually piss off a man who can kill literally everything put before him because reasons.

So pick a game and go with it, they usually give you all the important backstory bits in game anyway.

Honestly it reminds me of Artemis who shitposted and begged for r34 of her to be drawn before she had her first stream, as well as aping gura debut hype.

Just left a bad taste in my mouth and I still have kind of a negative impression of her. Never bothered to watch her streams because of it.

You should give Artemis a shot, she actually addressed this stuff recently. The r34 stuff she admitted to just liking it, and the Shark/Gura thing was just her attempt at originality backfiring so she decided to just run with it anyway. She originally commissioned a generic shrine maiden girl then she ended up liking some girl from Idolmaster with shark teeth and that's how she ended up going to the Shark theme.

I had the same initial impression but she does seem like a legit nice person, though she's closer to a regular game streamer than traditional VTuber.

Pekora picked up Dragon Quest builders 2 and seemed to have fun, put up a 6ish hour stream of it I think it was. Fun overall.

I think the primary reason is because it's new and MCU related. Anything MCU related takes over the entirety of the internet for a week minimum when it comes out.

Microsoft will as a gaming division undoubtedly win, due to the fact they're trying very hard to piggy-back the XSX on PC as well. In the console race however, I think they'll be second fiddle due to PR blunders like the sub thing again.

Edit: Maybe third if you count the Switch as part of this gen.

It depends on where you are, but Japan never had the same kind of lockdowns we did. It was mostly travel restrictions which are being lifted. And just like in America, there were a lot of people defying stay at home orders and lots of sidewalk restaurants never closed. Japan's death rate and infection rates are much lower despite these factors and density of their population...

As of January 7th, they legitimately locked down Tokyo which meant the shutting down of restaurants, hotels and gathering places, and requests to stay at home and not gather. Not seeing how it's terribly different. But I mean, I just both watch and know people who live over there so I guess I'm ill informed.

I watch a lot of Japanese streamers and the like, and from what's being said they're considering extending travel blocks past the 31st and still have very heavy regional lockdowns. So, dunno where that news is coming from but it seems to clash with reports of people actually living there.

I mean, I haven't kept up with the non-vaccine scientific news, but even if it had a 98~99% survival rate it's still absolutely ridiculously lethal for something as contagious as it is.
