Looks like it was all amicable, sounds like she left to do something else, think she said something to the effect that she found "something she wanted to do in her life" so it's good over-all, still sad to see her go.

I appreciate the person that worked on their characters. Would have been cool to see some proper use out of them, but I assume this is the kinda game they aren't gonna have time to learn in a single hour chaotic five-person stream.

don't starve is a wiki game. by which I mean it's a game you play with 15 tabs of different pages on the game's fanwiki open at all times or you just have no idea what anything does or what you're supposed to be doing

ame's the only one who has really played before and she was trying to teach but it's too much to learn and too chaotic

My friends were trying to get me to play Don't Starve for the longest time, and I've given it quite a long chance tbh, and it's just not my game. I'm down for wiki games all day, but there are definitely way better ways of going about wiki games. Don't Starve starts you with so little info and tools with no very obvious path to at least get started. Otherwise, mods don't exactly help that much either imo. The UIs for those aren't clean enough to use on the fly. Also the combat is ultra wonky, and late game combat pretty much amounts to one person lures and the rest of the team shoots a bunch of darts.

So yeah really cool that they got a whole mod for the HoloEN, but really poor choice of game. It's pretty understandable to be completely lost

I suspect a big reason the mod exists at all is because they played it as a 5 person collab once already like 3-4 months ago. for some reason I thought it was their first 5 player game collab but after taking a closer look that seems not to be the case https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72o--QWfufg

it was basically the same as this one - everyone confused, ame trying to herd them around like a flock of easily distracted sheep while also teaching everyone different parts of the game at the same time. I think she created the game with some sort of unlimited revives option or something though?? so it was all together a smoother gameplay experience since people weren't spending the whole time floating arond as ghosts
