Yes. It's story is continued in to DoW2. You can skip the first one, but you might get lost on context in much of the dialogue/story in DoW2.

The expansions for it are also fun to play. Maybe not Soulstorm though. Unless you are someone who finds "so bad it's good" appealing.

That's up to you. Some people have a hard time separating artist and art. Other people can do it easily.

But it's your choice and no one should shame you for whatever decision you make.

I generally give the artist the benefit of doubt, unless the proof is overwhelming. But in general I have difficulty separating the two.
