The colors and the way they are shaped look so ugly. Whose dumb idea was it to make the bottom third of the controller black, with weird strips running down the insides of the grips, and make the rest white. Except for the bumpers and some blue lines going up.

Is there actually any functional reason for these decisions? Or is it just because they thought it looked sleek? (It doesn't)

I used to see posts like that all the time on places like r/pokemon and other pokemon forums, where they'd announce the lofty goal and then give up after their motivation drops off a cliff. Because nobody cares and people get annoyed by the daily spam of a crappy drawing flooding the board.

If people actually drew all the Pokemon it would be cool, but even then it would still be too spammy to post every day about it (every week posting the past seven is often enough)

I never post this on their posts though because I don't want to target anybody specifically

My big switch regrets:

Shovel Knight--this game is very polished and has catchy music but that's about it. The gameplay isn't fun.

Hollow Knight--it's mostly a good game but I also don't enjoy it. For both this and Shovel Knight I really don't like the annoying feature where you are expected to hunt down your lost money when you die. I played for 15 hours or so and the story/setting STILL never established itself properly.

Snake Pass--interesting idea but the game isn't fun, it's just frustrating.

If I'm getting hammered with nasty comments crapping on my topic, I'm prone to turning off the notifications to the topic. It batters you down to hear people crap on you especially when your opinion is genuine, and it's just fanboys attacking you.

Of course you're talking about a nonexistent hypothetical case so it's impossible for me to say whether it'd be cowardly. Sometimes closing a topic because you don't like what you're hearing is silly, other times it's the best thing to do, it just depends on whether the feedback you're getting is honest and valid or if it's just flaming for the sake of it.

the game is basically done, they aren't delaying to fix anything, they're delaying because they can't ensure they can get the game out to everyone. And don't want lost sales from people who won't just buy digital. I assume they have a physical collectors that would be impacted in loss sales of people switching to digital as well.

Undertale isn't as good as people say it is. But Octopath traveler is nothing special. I would vote for Undertale myself, but Tropical Freeze or Mario Odyssey are definitely better, so it'd get knocked out in the next round.

My high school didn't really have cliques or a group of popular kids. We were mostly on equal footing, and the amount of attention you get was mostly determined by how far you put yourself out there in school events. Or at least that's how I felt.

No. All it has is two alt costumes for the Inkling, one male, one female. You can make a black Mii but that doesn't count.

Nintendo is starting to have more black characters but historically hasn't really had many. In their recent games they've added some good black characters with major roles, including Marina and Twintelle (do we have any black male characters???). It took them until 2020 to give you a skin color choice in Animal Crossing, a franchise devoted to customization. Pokemon only started giving you skin color options in 2013 and it was only in 2016 that they expanded them to the full skin color range instead of just white-to-light-skinned-black. But nowadays Pokemon is pretty good about ethnic diversity. The past two generations of Pokemon games have had loads of characters (important and otherwise) who aren't just white.

I think they have a better understanding of the global nature of their games and that's why they're filling out their games with more black characters now. Hopefully we get more ethnic diversity in SSB as a result.
