omg you people are just implacable. 5 million dollars is a lot of money but all you do is whine "why didn't they donate half their revenue". Yes it's only a small fraction of their total revenue, but it's still a lot and comes to 4% of their year's profit.

For comparison, Microsoft generates 40 times as much revenue (and makes billions in profit) and donated 1.2 million.

They make him seem like he's desperate for people to fawn over him for speaking Chinese, he plays up their reactions by first acting like a clueless foreigner so he gets a more shocked reaction when he speaks chinese, and it puffs up his ego more. For context, this was what people thought right after Nintendo had their big reveal event for Switch, showcasing games like BOTW, ARMS, splatoon 2, Mario Odyssey, 1-2 Switch, etc. and the details about pricing, release date, etc.

Buying physical games, can you put the disc into the system and play without downloading the game from a server? Do the discs all contain the full game?

Or do you actually have to download the full game from a server to run it. In which case why even put the data on the cd.

I think Trump is currently trying to set up strong personal connections with industries so that he's set up for returning to a business role instead of a political one. That's why he passed the bill that would let industries get away with killing literally billions of birds without taking precautions.

Expect a lot of legislation spearheaded by Trump in the next few months that will stealthily help his position when he returns to his old role.

But he'll only lose if you go and vote for Biden, of course

Generally women don't like being flirted with at the gym. It's already a male-dominated space, and many people also feel really vulnerable coming to a public gym to work out. So if they get flirted with by somebody they aren't interested in, it'll just add more awkwardness to their gym visits.

If you are attractive enough then she might be cool with it. I picked up a boyfriend at my gym once.

But if she's wearing headphones then she probably doesn't want to.

Anyway, if you ever need a spot and she's nearby, you could ask. Women hardly ever get asked to spot guys, though, so she'd probably find that weird unless she's the only option.

You could just comment on something in the gym or something and see if she's receptive about talking.

She probably won't be though

I tried making some fabric ones with patterns I found online and was not very comfortable. Some of them actually hurt my face and left red marks.

I adjusted the shape of them and on my fifth iteration made a pattern that is completely comfortable for my face. It also doesn't wrap around my ears so I don't get that discomfort, and it's very easy to pull off and then put back on because of how I designed the bands

You could get rid of paid sexual exchanges of all kinds and it still wouldn't get rid of the main cause for gender inequities. It's not all because brothels/strip clubs/prostitution, acting like that's the cause of sex discrimination is dumb

It's fun and epic with great music and good-looking scenery. As a kid I knew it was something special. It took until Frozen for them to make a movie that radiates that same kind of magic disney energy. (Not saying that other ones are all worse than TLK, just that no Disney animated movie except Frozen has bottled the qualities that ignite people's interest to the same extent as lion king)

I think Lilo and Stitch and Emperor's New Groove are at least as good as TLK but for completely different reasons, but they don't get the same attention as TLK for a few reasons. Emperor's groove is obviously vastly different, and I just disagree with you about some of those being better than lion king

I think he is trying to establish strong personal business connections with industries so that he will be in a good business position when he comes out of the presidency.

probably some industry people asked him to let these bird deaths slide as "accidents" and he knows it'll put him on good terms with them for when he's back to just being a businessman

The Trump administration moved forward Friday with plans to scale back a century-old law protecting most American wild bird species despite warnings that billions of birds could die as a result.

Officials said in a draft study of the proposal that it could result in more deaths of birds that land in oil pits or collide with power lines or other structures.

More than 1,000 species are covered under the law, and the changes have drawn a sharp backlash from organizations that advocate on behalf of an estimated 46 million U.S. birdwatchers.

The study did not put a number on how many more birds could die but said some vulnerable species could decline to the point where they would require protection under the Endangered Species Act.

Former U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe and independent scientists have said the change could could cause a huge spike in bird deaths potentially billions of birds in coming decades at a time when species across North America already are in steep decline.

The proposal would end the governments decades-long practice of treating accidental bird deaths caused by industry as potential criminal violations under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

Industry sources kill an estimated 450 million to 1.1 billion birds annually, out of an overall 7.2 billion birds in North America, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and recent studies.

Uh, no. And it never crossed my mind, didn't realize this is a thing people do. Delivery I understand but tipping for pickup doesn't really make any sense.

Not sure if you just mean restaurants, but in the case of grocery stores, curbside pickup means

-Somebody has to run through the store and grab all the items, bag them, then bring them to the storage place in the curbside area, separating the cold items, frozen items, warm items, and then everything else until you arrive bc otherwise it'll all become room temperature and go bad.
-When you arrive, somebody fetches those bags from their respective areas and brings them to your car and loads them, verifies you are the right person, and makes any additional changes you want. If the weather is bad they still have to come to your car, there was one time I ran out in heavy rain/wind, thunder/lightning, hail, and pandemic, and the customer needed me to run back and change an item. I had to drive home after to change into dry clothes. Also keep in mind that the wage for this job is too low even with the temporary hazard pay.

I don't expect tips but I don't feel bad at all about taking them.
