Kit Kats are delicious, I could eat them every day. But I don't think the chocolate itself is high-quality at all. They're only so good because they have that delicious crunchy wafer inside. People who haven't gone to gyms before think they're full of meat heads who will intimidate them. Planet Fitness realized they can attract these people by emphasizing that their gym is a "safe space" for newbies. From their perspective, it doesn't matter whether the stereotype is true or not, as long as it works from a marketing perspective. Which I guess it does, since they've continued to use it.

Something else to take into consideration is that it was over 8 years from the time between Super Metroid (1994) and Metroid Fusion/Metroid Prime (2002), where as Metroid Prime Federation Force (a side/spinoff game) was released just 6 years after Metroid Other M (2010 to 2016), and just 1 year after Federation Force was Metroid Samus Returns (a full fledged/from the ground up remake). This is also with the knowledge of Metroid Prime 4 on the way. After Super it took 8 years to get two new games, but after Other M it took only 7 years to get two games (one being a side/spin-off and the other a full remake), however we also knew a third game was coming, Prime 4.
What I am getting at is that Metroid is no stranger to hiatuses.
This also isn't counting re-releases in that 7 year gap.

So before the delay, Prime 4 would have came out sooner, however I think them delaying it to prioritize the quality of the game shows they do care about Metroid.
It's also worth noting that the two primary producers of Metroid games, Yoshio Sakamoto (Metroid) and Kensuke Tanabe (Prime) also have many other franchises outside of Metroid that they work on.
Outside of Metroid, Sakamoto has been recently involved in the WarioWare, Rhythm Heaven, and Tomodachi franchises.
Outside of Metroid Prime, Tanabe has been recently involved in Donkey Kong Country, Mario vs Donkey Kong, Luigi's Mansion, WarioWare, Dillon's Rolling Western, Art Academy, Kirby, Paper Mario, Tingle, Chibi-Robo!, Pushmo, Super Smash Bros, etc.
Compare this to Eiji Aonuma (one of the biggest devs of Zelda) who is practically exclusively making Zelda games (he has only made three non-Zelda games, all of which were in the '90s and before he started on Zelda).
Another thing to note is the studio behind the Prime Trilogy, Retro Studios, had moved on to the Donkey Kong Country series after completing the Trilogy, so it's not like they only develop Metroid games.
If you look at recent times, you'll also see that Metroid is prioritized over even other more popular games at times. Take the Nintendo Switch Online SNES library for example. You'll see that Super Metroid was released day one on the app, which means it was given priority over the likes of Kirby Superstar, Super Punch Out, Donkey Kong Country, etc. And if you look at the NES library on Switch, you'll see that while it wasn't added immediately, Metroid was added fairly soon, as it was released prior to Punch Out, Kirby's Adventure, Kid Icarus, etc. It also is one of the few games to receive "special" versions on the NES app, in fact it was given two special versions, making it three versions in total to choose from.
In conclusion, I do not think Metroid having a 6-7 year hiatus means Nintendo does not care about the series. If they didn't care about the series I don't think they'd have cameos/references to it in NUMEROUS games, as well as expanding upon it's roster, stages, music remixes, etc in Smash (one of Nintendo's best selling series). Especially when considering the developers and studios behind the Metroid/Prime series also have a bunch of other franchises to work on.

Well, the disclaimer I gave at the start is that if a stranger had said the same thing online, you would have blocked them for it. Whatever that would be is up to the individual user here.

My tolerance level for bullshit when it comes to strangers on the internet is lower than for people in my actual life. I block people out online for much less than it would take for me to disown somebody IRL. If a close family/friend said something truly hurtful or offensive and wouldn't back down, I am willing to consider blocking them out but it's hard to say when this is such an abstract hypothetical.

Other than the obvious games everybody mentions, I think Animal Crossing New Leaf is gorgeous despite being on a tiny 3DS screen. The lighting on everything as the day progresses, including the sky, is gorgeous. And that's not getting into how the colors change between seasons. I always loved how the snowflakes in winter will actually land on the ground/trees/buildings/items for a second before disappearing.

Blown up into HD the game looks amazing.

I'm also excited for New Horizons which is a bit different but hopefully just as strong, visually.

Also: Journey--beautiful use of color and lighting.
The Wind Waker and Okami--both are amazing uses of cel shading
Katamari Damacy--while not graphically impressive, it's visually very strong, I love how everything looks, and it's a feat of design that it gets you to increase scale by many times over seamlessly.

The reason it works is because it makes the village feel alive and independent of you. It makes it feel like things are happening in it when you aren't playing.

You aren't supposed to change the clock. But many people don't care.

They basically have human intelligence in the anime, where they all seem able to understand human speech and can all talk to each other.

In the games they are portrayed a bit more like animals/pets, the games explore the food chain a bit, and you pet them and give them "pet toys"

Yes if this were all real, it would be messed up to steal animals from the wild and make them fight each other / stay imprisoned in a storage system. In the original games, a bunch of characters even carried whips, including a gym leader. They shied away from that idea realizing it gets a little too real

The good and affordable phones I'm talking about aren't coming from major phone makers like Apple and Samsung unless we talk about what they were selling a few years ago. 2015 or 2016 was about when they decided to start pricing up their phones and stop making cheaper models. There are legitimate reasons why somebody would want to buy a particular company's phones and I'm not talking about brand loyalty. Major phone makers have abandoned this part of the market for the past four years or so in favor of chasing flashy things that don't really add much value to the phone but do inflate the price tag. They have moved to the point where instead of offering options without the flashy unnecessary features they say "just buy our older model"

Have you ever looked into what it involves getting to 5% body fat?

10% body fat is pretty slim and most people have to try kind of hard just to get there. The leaner you get, the harder your body tries to hold onto the remaining fat it still has.

As hard as many people find it to get to 10%, 5% is half as much fat as that. It's only attained by bodybuilders for a short time when they're competing and it is hard on their bodies and state of mind.
