No, whether the game halts or not when you do that is up to the game. It would make literally no sense to halt an online game like that.

Sorry I'm talking about holding the button down and going to the home menu, not just tapping the button. I've never seen a single player game not suspend if you do that, even in the middle of cutscenes. So if Bloodborne truly doesn't suspend even by going to the home screen of your PS4 that would be surprising.

Yeah there's a whole month left so I'm not worried. I was running a few teams where I wasn't able to get consistent supers for some units so I was just curious. I switched to a ki +4 team just to be safe.

Something I've wondered about the "Beat stages only using super attacks" quest but too lazy to test: if the first attack is a super attack and kills the enemy do the other 2 units also need to have enough ki to do super attacks or does it not matter?

Anyone have any knowledge about that?

My biggest issue in Bloodborne is blood vials. The estus system works fine in Dark Souls, why make the potions an actual item you need to buy/farm?

Chapter 9 is about as hard as 8C but it's also a complete package so it's like 9A 9B and 9C all as one level. It's also the epilogue so I would still recommend it as the last thing you do even if it were easier

Basically wall jumping at the exact moment you dash upward and connect with the wall gives you bonus vertical momentum. They teach it to you in one of the C sides I believe.

Great job with the video! 7C took me around an hour and 8C took me about 2 hours so good luck with the rest of the game! Chapter 9 is a blast too

I seem to be in the minority but something about the art really turns me off with this game. It's like they randomly decided which things to shade and it doesn't blend well to me. I've watched some trailers and they have cell-shaded flowers next to completely normal flowers at one point and it just does not look good.

Jesse's character arc is probably the most disappointing thing about the series to me. I think the end for him was fine, but the story pointed at so many different directions he could go but it felt to me like the series just couldn't take him in those directions because it didn't know how or it didn't care to do anything with him but beat him up?

He never develops any real agency as a character iirc

I think his final decision to not shoot Walter shows that he's making his own decisions now but whether or not that's earned is up to you I suppose.

It's a sad one.

I remember watching the replay and I'm surprised his controller didn't fly away with how much he was spinning his control stick and mashing ult during that last block string. I deserved to lose after that panicky round 2 though. It's a bummer this is my only match online because I was much better than this would lead you to believe!

Considering most casual complaints were roster/arcade/story mode related and not the actual gameplay I'd say when they added arcade mode.

The SFV arcade mode is probably the best one in a SF game and I don't think the game would have been so widely panned if they just included simple stuff like that in the beginning.

The game got hate when it first came out because of the lack of content and that cloud still hangs over the whole game even after they've added all of the single player stuff now.

STR Trunks is underrated because his passive limits the teams where he's useful but I always like using him when I can. His chance to stun comes in handy for a few SBR

That just means that I'll be doing it twice!

I pulled UI Goku after 100 stones on his banner and then I felt the need to drop 150 more for some reason. I think that's my biggest personal problem in this game; when I land early I can't avoid the urge to just keep pulling. If I'm 400 stones deep before I get a copy then I feel satisfied to stop but if I get a card on the first multi I need to do better at not pushing my luck.

I guess that's a better problem to have than emptying your bank account for a card though

Wow I completely forgot that 5th Anniversary had a 200 stone banner where you got 55 units and a guaranteed LR at the end.

I know we're getting a lot of stones for anniversary but I'm feeling less confident about my amount of stones now.

I only use cash at bars so that I don't have to worry about forgetting my card at the end of the night. Makes it a lot easier to bar hop when you're not constantly closing your tab and you can set a budget for yourself.

No reason to use cash anywhere else though

Free dupe LR Goku under 177% lead was hitting for about 5.8 million by the end of the LGE and taking double digit damage. Pretty busted but I still lost because half of the team is TEQ and enemy UI Goku demolished me.

I know you didn't like 4 very much but I'd recommend playing as Lady/Trish at some point. Lady is almost completely ranged and that's a unique playstyle in one of these games too. Lady takes over for Nero parts and Trish takes over for Dante parts.

Also Vergil is great in 3 and 4. You can play through the entirety of 4 as Vergil which is great because you don't feel like you're starting over when you switch to the Dante part.

Honestly I kinda prefer when JP gets stuff first because I know what to save stones for. Getting blindsided by a crazy LR a month before the anniversary isn't really ideal.

You also don't get to temper expectations for 3 months for new units.
