You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

I've been primarily a laptop user for the last 13 years of my life. This past weekend my wife and I got our first desktop and have two 27" monitors. She's used to it since she uses two monitors for work but it's taking some getting used to for me. There's so much screen.

I got a dual-screen set up with my work laptop and a monitor. Its a little awkward but my workspace doesn't have room for a second monitor.

Couldn't go back to a single screen

I know streamers need more than 1 for chat, games and to safely check links off the screen. Dunno about normal jobs though as i've never been in an office job. Suspect they have a work monitor and one for emails and stuff.

No, I use both my screens for everything, dragging stuff between screens as I need - both in work and out

1) No space
2) Seems like connecting a second monitor and configuring it would be more trouble than it's worth
3) I can do with one monitor just fine
4) No space

Got a second monitor when the lockdown started, and it's been quite useful for some work from home stuff. But when I'm not working, I almost always leave it turned off. Having the second screen up feels like more of a distraction than anything if I'm not actively using it for productivity.

I have an ultra-wide. Do I need a second monitor? Seems like the only time I would care is if I were streaming.

My 2nd monitor is basically just a dedicated twitch player while I'm doing other stuff on the 1st monitor.

i have a friend that uses an ultra-wide and now loves it, after hating it for the first week or so.

the main advantage i see of 2 monitors over a single ultra-wide is being able to frame a game or movie, while still having a secondary monitor to use for chatting/browsing/whatever

putting a game in a window on the left side of a screen feels weird to me, but maybe i'd get used to it

Have you considered upgrading to three so that your third can be a dedicated twitch player while you're doing other things on the first and second?

I would probably just have a twitch stream open on each monitor if I were to get another one honestly. So no

Ordered a new desk that's back-ordered until July. Once I get that I'm switching my setup to ultrawide + laptop on the side.

Right now I use one monitor + laptop because that's all my current desk can fit.

I don't splitscreen. I just don't use multiple apps at once. I'm sure it would be nice, like, if I were using a guide while playing a game. Beyond that, I don't have much of a use. Alt-tab works for me just fine.

I originally put in a two monitor set up so I could run TV to the second monitor, so I could watch TV (or YouTube) and use the computer without having to turn my head.

Then, after a while, I started finding more and more small uses for the set up, and now I could not go back to single monitor browsing.

Here's a question for some multi-monitor people - I'm using a two monitor set-up normally, where I have the display extended across both screens. However, I also have a TV hooked up to this computer, so I'd like to be able to use that to display everything. Is there an easy way to switch between "display extended on two screens" vs. "display only on the third screen" with a three monitor setup?

For Windows 10, I just right click anywhere on desktop, and click "Display Settings." This should give you the option of which inputs you want to be in use.
