Ive been reading through the oath and code of ethics, and Im not sure if either is legally binding, in the event of physical dangers that EMTs might personally face. I wonder if anyone here has a better understanding of it, especially in regards to the Capitol Hill area where these EMTs were.

We simply do not have evidence that it did happen. Until we have definitive evidence, then I would agree that theres no reason to think it did. But that is not the same as saying we know it as a fact.

The difference might be subtle, but its there.

Yes, sort of, because it depends on the year and country (not too many guns used in crimes outside of the US and a few other places). Its why I made sure to comment that police do have their accidental deaths, though its not from slipping on a boat deck or from a falling tree trunk, and more of chasing someone at high speeds and getting into a wreck or getting hit by another car as the police does a traffic stop.

To me, falling at almost any height and getting paralyzed or killed is especially scary, which is what youre reminded of constantly when working in a responsible construction or roofing business.

Congrats on creating this video! Dont stop until its done. We need more people creating content, which is basically a way for you to share your dreams and vision with us.

As for advice, and with respect, please consider the old storytelling technique of show, dont tell. A lot of the narration is telling us what we are already seeing on screen. You could cut out most of it and the overall effect would, IMO, be better for engaging the viewer and creating suspense. The only drawback is if you wanted to keep the audio for hearing-impaired listeners. One way to really show, not tell with regards to Dhalias emotions is to literally show her looking at some boys (could be in a teen magazine or another student) as shes growing up, but maybe she also looks at girls, especially at Poppy. This would keep us guessing as to what or whom Dhalia is interested in and how Poppy is unsure, but brave and hopeful, in her romantic attempt.

Anyway, good luck with your project. Maybe my suggestions wont work for you, thats Ok. But I hope you continue to share your story with us. Id love to see how it progresses.

Youre technically right, but its also a misleading stat, which people dont seem to examine fairly.

Take loggers, for example. They vie with fishers for having the most dangerous jobs. Do you know what loggers mostly die from? Falling objects, including equipment. In other words, its accidents. Youll find accidents popping up for roofing and other jobs considered more dangerous than law enforcement. Accidental deaths happen too when youre in law enforcement, but its of a different nature. They crash or are hit by vehicles, due to the large amount of time spent on patrol and working roadside or directing traffic. But cops also die a lot from being shot in the line of duty, as well as suicide being a big problem. Do loggers often shoot themselves because of the pressure and trauma of dealing with other people in emergency situations? Maybe, but I have not seen any evidence of that.

Heres a link to some gay marriage info. According to Pew Research Center, black supporters of gay marriage jumped from 32 percent in 2001 to 51 percent in 2019. Thats a big difference, although it lags behind both white supporters and Hispanic supporters, who were 62 and 58 percent respectively. Less religion, maybe?

Not sure if this is accurate today, but I read a statistic a while ago that most black people are pro life. It didnt mean anything to me at the time and I think I only stumbled across it because some debater said many black people are fairly conservative in their views, but they dont like Republicans much at all.

Yes, that is a fair point, but it does not solve the immediate problem. The precincts now have less working bodies and the rest will have to pick up the slack, which any employee anywhere will tell you is not ideal, and it wouldnt be surprising if more officers quit. Where are they going to find good recruits or retain the actual good cops? Youd have to be a moron or a sadist to still want the job, considering the current climate. Hire those people and youre back to square one with cops that are either incompetent or violent, maybe both.
