I dont think good or evil will factor into it. Those are human concepts. That said, youre right that what we think will happen is an assumption. Honestly, I think it would be more interesting to compare killings or even just arrests of African Americans with their African immigrant counterparts. Better yet, how are the children (i.e. second generation) doing? They would all be black persons, so its not like police would immediately distinguish them from one another, if racism is the motivating factor in response results.

At best, he's saying it's questionable whether slavery should have been abolished because confederates used that as a justification to murder Lincoln. At worst-case, he's saying the freeing of the slaves or other things Lincoln did for black people were questionable. Both would end a normal politician's career.

Trump is the only one who knows what in the Hell he means.

My guess is he is saying Lincolns actions might have been questionable because they lead to a civil war, which claimed hundreds of thousands of American deaths. He could also be hinting at how some people deny Lincoln credit, because of his questionable motivations. Lincoln did mention not really wanting to free the slaves, if he couldve kept the Union intact without doing so.

You might want to be careful with framing it that way, or else you cant blame him for all the crap that we do want to attribute to him. The state of the union is on his watch, for better or worse. This is true of all presidents and generally considered true of any leader. Thats why we get pissed, for example, at his flippant response to reporters when he said he takes no responsibility for the Covid 19 deaths in the US. They are his responsibility because hes ultimately in charge (i.e. on his watch) and was neglectful, even if he did not literally give anyone the virus.

The one bright spot for me is The Promised Neverland. The characters actions make sense, given the context. The suspense is pretty good, as well.

Wait, I think Haikyuu is good too. It does have silly moments, but its never outlandish and the character chemistry is fantastic. Its also really good at building up plot points early, and then having it pay off much later.

Yeah, Im conflicted. I completed life guard training in high school and that experience was difficult. One thing I remember from the drills was how hard it was to rescue someone, if you had to pull their weight in deep water. And thats in calm water, with a drill partner who is not panicking, and I was a fairly strong swimmer. People underestimate that a lot and sometimes end up drowning themselves, while trying to save someone.

Ideally, wed like to see the police try to save people in need, but I dont think they are actually trained to do that in the water.
