At quick glance it looks like I've got around 150 on ignore. But most of that is from the cesspit known as the Xbox One board that was hardly ever modded for the first few years. Wouldn't surprise me if the majority of the 150 is the same people using multiple alts to shit post.

Looking further into it about 90% of the users on my ignore list haven't logged in for over 2 years.

The 1 guy is someone from a game board who entered a discussion on lore and started calling people heretics, demons, etc. I told him that a topic on video game lore shouldn't get personal, but of course that didn't stop him. I was just going to leave it but he started PMing me and sending me "resources" to learn and repent for my sins. After the 3rd message I ignored him.

Theres no one on that list for me. Even though there are users I dislike, GameFAQs is not serious enough to block people unless they are harassing you.

The only two users I know of who have me blocked are IloveJesus and solosnake. IloveJesus actually insulted and called me out of my name so when I came back at him, I guess he couldnt take it. Never interacted with solosnake so maybe he just cant handle a different opinion.

After being one of those 0 BECAUSE IM NOT A PUSSY people for 20 years, I recently embraced this feature for the first time and its amazing simply to get rid of the people that contribute nothing worthwhile to any topic so its more of a spam folder than anything.

This, exactly. The whole 'I don't need a special feature to ignore them' mentality finally hit a tipping point a few months ago when the usuals dug in their heels and started trolling about Covid-19. It's really made this place more bearable. Hell, I actually forget that most of those trolls exist unless someone mentions them by name in an unquoted post, and of course cutting off their attention feed is the only medicine against them.

I'm not emotionally invested enough in most topics to care about it or reach that aforementioned tipping point. In topics I care about, trolls and people who disagree with me don't make me mad enough to want to block them

I've thought about it though, like some posters are just so boring... posting the same boring shit for decades or post in otherwise interesting topics just to make it all boring afterwards. But honestly I'm too lazy to make the few extra clicks to ignore/block anyone and I know curiosity will get the better of me down the road anyways >_>
