If you think PS2 is bad, the DS is even worse. Gamestop pretty much single-handedly raised the value of complete DS games due to them throwing out the cases and manuals.

This was foul. If/when GameStop goes under, DS collectors are gonna have a hearty laugh at their expense, and rightfully so.

Like many, I tossed out most cardboard game boxes growing up, but kept anything that was sturdy and/or contained a disc.

On the bright side, though, I did wise up midway through the GBA era! I kept the boxes for anything I bought from '04 onward. Though I've sold most of my GBA stuff, I still have the original packaging for WarioWare Twisted, Gunstar Super Heroes and a few others. So that's nice.

Not buying this leak, but it actually would be a solid outcome for the Fighters Pass. I'm still hoping for more of an even split between first-party and third-party characters, but that's looking unlikely at this point and this is about as good as an exclusively third-party lineup could be.

Also, "all third-parties" at least means there won't be shill picks from Fire Emblem: Three Houses or Pokemon Sword/Shield, so that's a silver lining.

Banjo and Ryu H would definitely be the highlights. I'd buy them both for sure.

87% so far with audiences.

I really hope it holds over 60%. It'd be so nice to see a video game movie actually stay fresh.

7.3/10 on IMDB right now. Not bad.

YouTube "culture" became a truly gross thing, didn't it?

Eh, I'd imagine nearly every "culture" has crappy people and bad behavior that gets swept under the rug. I saw a good post on this in another topic that got me thinking - the main difference with these new YouTube/Social Media celebrities is that they don't even have the buffer of a private life to shield them when shit hits the fan. Everything is online and public because their whole lives are online and public.

Well said, these are good points. I also can't imagine that many of them have any type of PR rep or "handler," further exacerbating the issues.

Still though, while I try not to be "that guy" who shakes his cane at everything Zoomers like, the sheer amount of influence YouTube culture has on that gen concerns me a little.

I really enjoyed this week's episode tbh. I do find it strange that the script got Varys so right, yet Tyrion's dialogue is still such a far cry from its old caliber. You'd think the writing would either fail both of those particular characters, or neither. You know?

Ultimately though, I'm still here for GoT, massive Internet backlash be damned.

I don't care what anybody says. Bringing up Rotten Tomatoes reviews of movies? So what. My Dad never took me to go see a movie with him, ever in his life. I wanted him to take me to go see the 2007 Transformers movie and his response of course was no. Because he cares about my cousin Jordan Condra act like a see you next tuesday on a modeling show instead. Back when I was in 7th Grade in 2007, one of the teachers put on Ratatouille to watch in the classroom and everybody was making sex jokes and noises while the movie was playing. And I tortured myself watching 2 minute long Eve Torres matches in High School because my Dad liked her (who was only on TV thanks to a horrendous boob job) and he doesn't like much of anything. I don't give a crap what kind of content I upload to YouTube. I'm better where I am right now and I'm not wasting my damn time, being concerned what the review score of a movie is on Rotten Tomatoes.

But the real problem is how 90% of the jokes were in the trailers. I can only name 3-4 new jokes, the rest of the new scenes are story and action scenes (which are kinda mediocre but ok)

Aw man. :( I think the jokes in the trailer are really amusing, so it's a bummer that not many more are waiting in the wings.

I've seen all of the BP noms except The Favourite, Green Book and Roma, and ASIB is my least favorite by a reasonable margin so far.

worse than bohemian rhapsody? i haven't seen either film but after seeing the infamous "bad editing" scene i can't imagine it being anything but terrible.

i might see green book sometime btw.

Sorry for my late response! I actually enjoyed Bohemian Rhapsody quite a bit - a 4/5 for me. Rami Malek absolutely sells the film, it's a remarkably magnetic performance start to finish. He is also backed by a game supporting cast, which helps the film rise above the occasional cliche or "on-the-nose" moments of dialogue.

Black Panther is my favorite of the BP nominees I have seen thus far, though.

That having been said, was Sam Elliot fucking amazing in it or what? His scenes carried some real emotional heft.

Stink-Foot is wonderful. Another dark horse contender for funniest Zappa song is "Jelly Roll Gum Drop." It's so over-the-top that it gets me every time. I also love singing it to my girlfriend, to her chagrin.
