Pizza. There is so much you can have on pizza. It's not limited by crust types, cheese, sauce, toppings. Too many combinations. There is something out there you'd like. Otherwise you are lying.

I hate pizza and it's because of the smell. I have an ultra sensitive sense of smell, so I can smell pizza from far away (anywhere inside of a house that has a pizza). It's most likely the cheese (or maybe the sauce) that produces the smell that I don't like.

Obviously pizza can be customized to a very huge extent, but getting pizza without cheese and sauce would be difficult as it's pretty much found on every mass produced store-bought pizzas. Getting a pizza without cheese and sauce would require going to a pizza shop and custom ordering one without those things, something that I wouldn't bother doing just to get a pizza that I could actually eat.

How I forgot that obvious cheese...when I put spikes up above between the switch blocks to prevent a less obvious cheese opportunity, is beyond me.

I managed get PangaeaPanga (a legendary Kaizo level maker and Twitch streamer) to play your level. He makes brutally difficult levels such as this:



I submitted your level to him because he was hosting a stream for playing Viewer/Subscriber levels. PangaeaPanga actually figured out that you had to get that one Thwomp to trigger the ON/OFF Switch 2 times before proceeding to the long spin jumping stretch. It took him about 10 minutes to beat your level.

More good than bad, but I have felt some of the downsides of drinking alcohol. I don't drink very often (maybe 2 to 3 times a year), but alcohol at the moderate to high levels makes it easier to find random things funny. The biggest side effect is getting a headache from consuming moderate to high levels of alcohol.

Cynthia - Mid Fodder

If N is Low Fodder, than Cynthia is probably a decent step above N. We already saw N (a Gen 5 character) back in 2013 and he was pretty weak (under 20% on Solid Snake through Bayonetta). Putting Cynthia any higher than Mid Fodder means she's too close to Misty, who I had pegged at the Fodder Line. Misty at least has the advantage of Gen 1 factor plus the anime.

Robin - Mid Fodder

Compared to other superhero characters, he's way down in recognizability to characters like Batman, Spider-Man, or even some of the Marvel superheroes. I highly doubt he would be worth much at all, but he could beat some really bad fodder.

Mother Brain - Mid Fodder

A character who is already outclassed by Ridley in terms of strength.

Okay never mind! Went right back to try and upload it again and it's letting me do it. Yay! Guess it just errored out the first time. Fortunately I didn't mess with the editor at all and it let me upload it right away without beating it again. Good to know I can do that if...when I make more brutal levels in the future.

This is probably both the easiest and the shortest of the Thwomp Stomp levels funny enough though. And it's certainly neither easy nor short. Will edit this post with the ID in a minute. :D

I just beat your level earlier. My Maker name in this game is "Do The Dew" since "Luster" was taken already and "LusterSoldier" is too long to be used as a name.

There was one area in your level where I had to take damage just to get past. This video shows where it happened:



At one point during the video, I jump on a spike block and take damage as it was the only way I saw possible to reach the long stretch of Thwomps. Was it actually possible to get past that part without taking any damage?

Yeah, Alcremie is a far better design than Slurpuff. I find Slurpuff to be rather derpy looking and not that cute at all. While Alcremie is far cuter than Slurpuff.

So what's up with the lower scores of this game anyway? And why is Gamespot's a "review in progress"?

The Metacritic score is actually 1 point higher than the original (which had an 88 Metacritic).

I think the reason why the Metacritic score for this game isn't higher than this is because this game wasn't ever going to recapture the charm of the original game, despite all of the new content added to this one.

Also I blame story mode for the lack of players. Theres more incentive to play Story Mode than endless mode so you are leaving the actual mario maker made levels with a smaller user base.

Story Mode might not actually be the real problem with your stages getting no plays. I found this interesting post over on the Mario Maker 2 board:

Without being a big Youtuber, streamer, or having a huge social media following, your stages are unlikely to get a large number of plays unless you made a very interesting level that somehow goes viral. Those who play your stage will most likely run into it through Endless Challenge, or while browsing for stages using the in-game search feature.

I really wasn't expecting that to be a new game style in this game, since Nintendo would most likely have to colorize the entire game style as black/white would be too boring.

Super Mario Bros. 2 (the US version) is the most likely candidate for a new game style knowing that 3D World is incompatible with the other game styles. That allows SMB2 to be completely faithful to the original game mechanics (picking up objects and most enemies).

Scores pretty much identical to the first game in the 88-89 zone although all the reviews all say its better than the first in every way.

Looking at some of the reviews, it seemed like the second game wasn't ever going to recapture the charm of the original game, despite all of the new stuff added in this game. That might have factored into the scores being largely similar to the original game.

There's also the fact that some content from the original game was removed in this game, such as the Mystery Mushrooms that allow you to play as 100+ different characters in the SMB game style. The Mystery Mushrooms may have been removed due to the addition of multiplayer, plus there's the licensing fees associated with third-party characters.

This is a bad decision but the Pokemon fanbases reaction to this has been an abomination.

Prior to this event, at least the previous questionable decisions made by Game Freak didn't cause them to receive hate comments, get harassed by other people, or have Pokemon related videos getting dislike bombed. Some people think the reaction was the product of several years of anger building up against Game Freak (with earlier Pokemon games) and all it took was a game design decision of megaton proportions to bring that anger to a boiling point.

This event was really the first time the fanbase actually showed real hate towards Game Freak (with some death threats included) and pretty much every tweet made by the Pokemon Twitter accounts or Junichi Masuda's Twitter account were filled with hate comments. And the gameplay footage video from the Pokemon Sword/Shield Treehouse Live segment is getting dislike bombed, as seen here -

Elsa - Mid fodder

She's probably not going to be at or above the fodder line due to KH3's reception among the fans, with the game being the lowest reviewed game out of the 3 main KH games. The site also doesn't seem to care about KH that much these days.

Misty - Fodder line

Human characters from Pokemon generally aren't worth much at all, with only Red and Blue having any notable level of strength. After those 2 characters, there's a drop off in strength for other characters. We've seen N in a contest (Gen 5 character) and he was pretty bad, but the Gen 1 factor should ensure that Misty is well above N in strength. The one knock against Misty is that she has very little role in the games, but you could say that about most of the other Pokemon game characters. The Pokemon mainline games aren't really played for the story by a lot of fans. What gives Misty a fighting chance to be above the fodder line is her anime appearances, and there's a lot of people who watched the Gen 1 anime back when the anime was relevant and when they still cared about Pokemon.

Ken Masters - Fodder line

We've already seen Ken in a contest where he got to face Ganondorf, so that provides us with a decent read on his strength.

That might be able to work here. Of course, there's no way Meltan's evolution method could work in the mainline games. Tying an evolution method to Pokemon GO is pretty dumb and would absolutely have to be changed in the mainline games. It's quite possible that Meltan will eventually receive an event distribution for the mainline games, allowing it to be obtained by players who don't play Pokemon GO.

They can cheat a bit and not put in the method to evolve some of the Pokemon. Like they don't need to put in Glaceon if there's no Ice Rock in the game.

There's a snow covered area on the Galar map, so it's assumed there's an Ice Rock in the game to get Glaceon. I wouldn't expect Eevee or any of its evolutions to be absent from future games.

How old are Pokmon gym leaders?

They can vary widely in age, usually between 10 and 60. With very few exceptions like Brock and Misty, we don't know the ages for most Gym Leaders. There are plenty of adults as Gym Leaders, some of which look like they could be as old as 60.

Nessa looks like a potential underage Gym Leader. That makes her a candidate to be one of Ash's traveling companions in the Gen 8 anime because Ash's regular traveling companions are all underage. We can pretty much confirm Nessa is underage if she will be traveling with Ash in Gen 8 anime.
