I just double-checked, and none of the Kaoruko cards in the entire game have a climax art that hits more than one enemy.

You can upgrade the power of climax arts by ranking your stage girls up and reaching certain skill panels, but you can never actually change their climax art. If the support Kaoruko you found used a different climax art, it had to have been a different Kaoruko variant entirely.

Each character (there's 24 total) has had multiple different variants since launch. They all have a basic 2-star version and multiple 3-star and 4-star versions from past events. Most of them are in the normal gacha pool and can show up in any banner (including the normal star gem banner that's always active) but some of them are exclusive to "brilliance fest" banners and some were limited seasonal events that might never be obtainable again.

The last time I played it seriously was gen 5, and even then, only on Pokemon Showdown (or whatever the simulator was at the time, might have been an earlier one) and not in-game. I tried it a little bit in gen 6, but lost interest.

I misunderstood the reroll order and did the redo one first then the first start dash lol.

The point is to keep restarting and retrying the start dash until you get a good 4-star, then use the redo gacha to make sure you pull a different good 4-star. I saw someone who did the redo gacha first and then pulled a duplicate of the exact same girl from the start dash. Needless to say, they restarted and tried again after seeing their mistake.

BLNG Kaoruko

Legitimately one of the worst 4-stars in the game, possibly the worst. She has nothing that stands out at all.

Ghost Patrol Fumi

She has a niche because Fumi can directly target the enemy with the highest attack (usually a fragile mid or back line attacker) instead of simply targeting the front enemy like everyone else does, but she's still not that great.

Celestial Goddess Akira

A good boss-slayer for PvE because her climax art is strong, single-target, and can freeze, but still mediocre for PvP. Probably the best of the three you mentioned. However, she's also available from the "watch ads for free pulls" gacha so she's not really worth sticking with for a re-roll.

Overall, I wouldn't consider that a roll anywhere near worth keeping.

I forgot to mention it last night after I got done watching it, but I finished Lostorage Incited WIXOSS. It wasn't quite as good as either of the two Selector WIXOSS seasons, but I still really enjoyed it. Suzuko was a really fun protagonist (not as good as Ruuko though), her LRIG Riru was awesome, and Satomi was an incredible villain. The slow drip of revealing how deep the story went and how the new batch of Selector battles were quite literally built on the ruins of the previous battles got me hooked, and the battles themselves were animated really well this time around. The introduction (or rather, return) of one certain character was a major turning point in me enjoying the show a lot.

This season was certainly way darker than its predecessor though. Selector had some dark moments, but it never showed a person just straight up jump off a fucking bridge to their death. In general, the actual "cute girls suffering" aspect of the show wasn't as well-executed, and it felt like there were more "dark for the sake of dark" moments that seemed out of place. I also felt like the secondary protagonist Chinatsu wasn't developed well enough. She did have her moments though, and Yuka Iguchi's voice really brought out her twisted personality.



Overall, I give it an 8/10. I also thought a lot more about how I rated the Selector seasons and lowered them from the 10's I gave them in the moment to 9's. Now all that's left is the final season, Lostorage Conflated WIXOSS, the one that brings together the two casts and wraps up the story.

Also, I need to ask this: have you watched the Revue Starlight anime? The game's story is essentially a sequel to the anime, and the anime explains a lot of backstory that the game might not tell you. Plus it's just a really good anime that's worth watching even without any interest in the game.

Here are the 4-star stage girls you should be looking out for:

- Greenhorn Captain Aruru is eternally meta-relevant for her unique and excellent abilities, and is available in both the 5x redo and start dash.

- Sun General Maya is the only 4-star tank available in the 5x redo and start dash, and having a good tank is extremely important throughout the story. However, she's also available in the ever-present "watch ads for free pulls" gacha so there will be more chances to get her later on.

- Musketeer Hikari is a strong attacker and a powerful boss-killer for PvE, plus she does heavy damage to the Moon-type enemies that Sun General Maya is weak against, but she's fairly mediocre for PvP. Also available in the 5x redo, start dash, and ads gacha.

- Earth Goddess Yachiyo is a rare Dream-type attacker that does effective damage to (but also takes effective damage from) all other types. She's not as powerful in PvP as she was early on, but is still very useful for plowing through the story missions. She's also available in both the 5x redo and start dash, and she can come from the Siegfeld super brilliance fest as well, but there's better options if you go that route.

- If you go the route where you pull from the Siegfeld super brilliance fest instead of the start dash, then Lu Bu Mei Fan and Arsene Lupin Yachiyo are the big two that you should be aiming for. Both are very powerful and meta-relevant, and Lupin Yachiyo is exclusive to brilliance fest events so she's extremely rare. Heracles Michiru is the best tank available from the Siegfeld banner, but nowhere near as valuable as the above two.

As a bonus, here are some of the more useful 3-stars that you can pull along the way. All of these are also available in the "watch ads for free pulls" gacha as well though, so you'll get them eventually even if you don't roll them now.

- Sun Knight Nana is another strong Dream-type attacker, not as strong as Goddess Yachiyo, but still pretty good.

- Black Knight Claudine is a sturdy tank who resists the Moon-type enemies that Sun General Maya is weak against. So if you roll for that Maya, also getting this Claudine to use in stages where Moon-type enemies are prevalent would be beneficial.

- Pirate Bodyguard Lalafin is arguably the best 3-star tank in the game, plus (similar to Black Knight Claudine covering for Sun General Maya) she covers Heracles Michiru's weakness to Snow-type attacks. If you don't plan on rolling for any of the 4-star tanks, or maybe if you get that Michiru and want a backup tank for the enemies that Michiru would struggle with, try to get this Lalafin.

And one final note: If you get really lucky and pull multiple really good 4-star stage girls (like Greenhorn Aruru and Lupin Yachiyo) but don't pull any tanks, don't worry too much. The default 2-star Karen that you start the game with can at least hold her own until you pull a 3-star tank like Pirate Lalafin or Black Knight Claudine from the "watch ads for free pulls" gacha.

Between the new player bonus and the (today only, I believe) half-anniversary bonus, you have 5,700 star gems to work with immediately after the tutorial. The gachas you have to work with at the beginning are:

- The 5x redo gacha: a 5-roll with exactly 1 guaranteed 4-star stage girl, which you can re-roll it infinitely, for 3,000 gems. This can only be done within the first 24 hours after starting the game and only has a limited selection of stage girls, but a couple of them are pretty good.

- The 2-step start dash gacha: a 10-roll for half the normal price (1,500 gems) and then a second 10-roll with a guaranteed 4-star stage girl for the normal 3,000 gems. This can only be done once, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't expire, and it has the same limited selection as above.

- The always active "watch ads for free pulls" gacha, which also has a very limited selection and you shouldn't worry about it yet.

- The current "Siegfeld super brilliance fest" banner, which is an event banner with 2.5x the chance of 4-star stage girls. It only includes stage girls from one of the four schools, Siegfeld Academy, but includes some very powerful and meta-relevant stage girls. This is only available today.

- The current seasonal gachas, which feature a limited Nana and Mahiru that will not be available again beyond the end of this event next week.

So the best options for re-rolling would be:

- Do both steps of the start dash gacha (4,500 gems) until you get satisfactory rolls, then do enough story missions within 24 hours to get 3,000 gems to do the 5x redo. This would be the best option if you mainly want to focus on the story and PvE events and won't worry about PvP for a while, since you can guarantee yourself at least a couple of solid 3-star stage girls as well as a pair of 4-stars.

- Do a single 10-pull on the Siegfeld super brilliance fest banner (3,000 gems) until you get one of the two best 4-star stage girls in the banner, then then do enough story missions within 24 hours to get 3,000 gems to do the 5x redo. This would be the best option if you want to build a team for PvP relatively soon, because there are two top tier meta characters available in this banner.

- Do a single 10-pull on either of the seasonal banners (3,000 gems) until you get the seasonal character, then do enough story missions within 24 hours to get 3,000 gems to do the 5x redo. Only do this option if you already think Nana or Mahiru is best girl from watching the anime.

I'm going to install the game on my backup device so I can look at what you can roll for at the beginning (I actually can't remember, it's been a while) and how many gens you have to work with if you start today. I read on Reddit that they're shortening the initial/total cooldowns for those skills, but making it so that the longer you wait until after that cooldown to fire, the stronger the shot will be. So you can fire sooner but weaker, or wait longer for a more powerful shot. Some may have more specific reworks, but that's the general gist of how they're improving those skills and dolls.
