It might resemble Diablo in tone and environment (similar NPCs, costumes and stuff), but the two are worlds apart. Witcher is third person, revolves heavily around the alchemy system and has sidequests. The story is not very interesting. There are sidequests that are long as fuck and give garbage rewards. Combat is tiresome, grinding is a pain in the ass and for the longest time you don't have access to useful spells and combos so that makes combat even more boring.
