I noticed recently almost none of my friends are on facebook anymore, and the people who are still on facebook at either obnoxious/old or just old.

I've talked about it before but I noticed after quitting facebook that I got depressed less, and starting being social to a degree I never was in my life prior.

I was thinking about how common it is for a developer to do something shitty, get harassed by fans, cave and change it, and then get treated like a hero.

So I don't understand how rank works in certain modes. Like in Rokkr right now I'm rank 21, after using all my axes on intermediate mode? Like only 20 people in the entire mode have done more than me?? That can't be right

I bought trails in the sky on vita so I can have a pooping game to play. I figure I have to get through the series someday.

I'm really enjoying the relaxing nature of the day to day npcs in this game. The combat is okish

If you're having difficulty imagining what a "console" pokemon game would be like, just take a single attribute from Breath of the wild.

Does s/s have botw standard graphics? No.
Does s/s have botw standard enviroments? No.
Does s/s bring something new to the game to the extent botw did? No
Does s/s have as good movement and transversal options as botw? No
Does s/s have dialogue on the same level as botw, a primarily single character game with sparse npcs and barely any story? I'm willing to admit I could be guessing wrong, but I guess very heavily no.

Go down the list with every attribute you might think of and it's going to come up with no almost every time unless you get weirdly specific.

The truth is, we as fans have kept the bar as low as possible for pokemon, we honestly ask very very little. Give us a new region, give us new pokemon designs, and give us freedom to do what we want with our pokemon. We've accepted bad graphics, bad controls, bad ui, bad design, bad characters, gimmicks that become forgotten each gen. Basically bad everything but music has been showcased in the pokemon series, and we still buy pokemon games.

And Game Freak is STILL finding ways to lower expectations for the series after all these years. It's actually somewhat incredible how much worse each game can get from gen to gen.

There's a lot of people being like "they're probably saving this for the third version for money"

but I can't think any time game freak cut a fan loved feature and then brought it back in a third game. They just like to cut stuff.

Oh well, it just means I save money on not having to buy pokemon this gen.

In games, the main characters are usually the blandest characters in the game (due to them being a stand in for the player)

and dragon quest is the king of featureless boring main characters, but they're basically just there as vessels for a dragon quest moveset.

as I get older, my anime tolerance goes down considerably.

The game is pretty good so far, but it could cut out the entire "girl accidently fell and her boobs are in my face" and save me a few gameplay hours and the game would be better for it.

No but you don't get the others for awhile. You also don't usually get a choice of who you bring in CS1 (you only do in specific sections).

also what DO you like I feel like you have been kinda down on everything lately

after going through fire emblem fates for the 5th time I have to say I'm starting to really appreciate the parts that are good and numb to the parts that are awful. I also really really liked fire emblem new mystery of the emblem, another game I played this year. I've almost exclusively played fire emblem this year since I've been so passive on video games.

Also thanks for the recommendation to play the game that isn't currently buyable on modern consoles. I'll be sure to play it whenever it becomes available.

Ok let me know now so I'm not disappointed later, is Class VII the entirety of the playable cast? Let me know now so I can know who I'm going to drop and who I have to force myself to endear to.
