I want to pile on to that and say, the moon landing being fake has a lot of interesting facts and suppositions behind it, while the actual facts surrounding the moon landing are a little boring.

Like, I learned why the flag waves in the video literally less than a week ago but it was such a boring technical reason that my brain did not retain it at all.

I don't really like adam ruins everything but this episode has a good explanation of how the moon landing would be near impossible to fake. The arguments put forward aren't really "general knowledge" so if someone didn't know this stuff, I wouldn't call them "dumb"

for the record, I didn't verify any of the sources or do any independent research along this video, so it's really only a viable thing to watch if you think d-list celebrity credibility is a thing.

People don't become moon landing skeptics because they're so dumb that just seeing the concept makes them believe in it. They believe it because when they look at a topic with skepticism, and they find one side that has a lot of "facts" and arguments, and the other side is drowned out by people like you who think it's dumb to not to instantly believe dogmatic facts that they learned in grade school, they go with the more intelligent option of the two.

The truth is if you actually took the effort into learning why the moon landing is perceived as fake, you not only would actually learn something and probably gain a reasonable understanding of why there's skepticism amoung the general populace, but you would also actually understand the goddamn moon landing. As it is, if we had a televised debate with you and a moon landing denier, I'm pretty sure the denier could dance circles around you.

tl;dr moon landing deniers are dumb, but they're that way largely because of people like you.

and I've found a way to feel superior to both

when I was a kid, for some reason I had the idea that throwing every breakable item in "simpsons road rage" into the quarry would get me an extra character. I don't know why I thought this, but it took hours of nonstop gameplay, since there was no way to save my progress.

More recently I spent hundreds of hours on fire emblem awakening to get all the parent-child conversations (the non-unique ones) then I lost the save data when I switched 3ds

Are you finishing them on hard mode? getting all support conversations?

I've been getting all the support conversations for 7 since I was 16, I think I have like 6 or 7 left to do.

I've gotten them all in 8 because of save scumming and Echoes, since there wasn't many.

I've put 200 hours in fates and awakening trying to get support conversations and have barely scratched the surface.

I usually do the highest difficulty if I really really like the game, I did it for 7 and for conquest, but not for awakening since lunatic wasn't really the right kind of challenging, I'll probably do it for New Mystery of the Emblem and Echos sooner or later.

I voted bad, veganism is usually misguided based on nutritional and enviromental dogma. That said usually a vegan is at least thinking about what they're putting in their body so they're probably as a rule healthier people.

but also every time someone mentions veganism some edgelord comes along to announce how much they like bacon.

And yeah GBA stories aren't masterpieces, and sometimes are organized poorly, but they're still actual stories with likable characters/human interactions/and any amount of depth. Birthright is "we go get good weapon and get bad guy" which is inoffensive enough, it's just bland, Conquest is "we diddle around for no reason, then go get bad guy, but also some people commit suicide to prevent the main character from having to make any difficult choices also the REAL bad guy is just some guy with a bow who was angry"

I mean, part of it comes down to how well you can market yourself from the pics and bio and set yourself apart from other guys on the app. If you have even semi-decent pictures (no selfies, relatively good quality), that should give you a big boost.

this is also part of the problem, the loss of integrity put forth is just kind of hard to both spit and swallow. I don't like to do that, and I don't want to be with someone who does that.

imo the character design is passable, but all the environments (whether it's battlefields or the school) look super bland/ugly. Everything is brown and drab.

Kinda interested in the Persona-esque aspects though.

This Japanese commercial shows some more variety in the maps.

Fire Emblem is a game series that now has lots of different types of fans of all ages after only having one type of grumpy jrpg type number bois. It's definitely in a weird place because we've reached a situation where it's literally impossible to please all the fans.

That said, IS has done an amazing job since awakening trying to make games that are deep and challenging with mass market appeal. Even I, Grumpy SantaRPG, who hates everything that this game brings to the table with this iteration, bad art, non-diverse characters, long gameplay hours, accentless foreign characters (a new pet peeve that I specifically developed for this game), bad UI, persona time systems. Even I still acknowledge this will be a pretty good game, and even if it sucks, the game after this will probably be pretty good, because no fire emblem game sticks to one idea forever, it mixes and matches, and changes to find different types of ways to approach it's tried and true formula.

Having a platoon for each unit is definitely much better and is something langrisser has been doing for years that fire emblem finally caught on to as well

yeah there's a reason that series never caught on.

I mean Langrisser isn't bad, but it's definitely not "good"

I love the one on one, it makes your army feel intimate and plucky, this just looks like a low budget musou game (which I guess, it is now)

After Echos, where everyone looked beautiful, it's a bit of a disappointment. Also, I really hope they don't do the whole "meaningless people surrounding the battles to make it look more like a war" for all games going forward but from a recent interview it sounds like it's here to stay.

Aggression is cumulative. There's plenty of times when I've realized I was going down a self destructive path and then bobbed out, but the same can't be said or expected about everyone. Some people are never taught to be as mindful of their own emotions, some people have a harder time identifying the problem that their currently in. It's the same as blaming tobacco companies for lung cancer, sure the people smoking could have made better choices, but there's no denying the HUGE role that corporations play in making an addictive and harmful product.

There's another thing I want to point out on the side of dating apps and incels. I noticed as I was swiping, I was feeling disgust/anger for perfectly normal women based on innocuous things in their profile. The moment I deleted hinge was when I was scrolling through a beautiful girl's profile, who had similar interests, saw that she liked settlers of catan and, with literal distain, thought "Ugh catan sucks" and swiped left (or whatever the hinge version of turning her down was)

It reminded me of a recent study I heard about where playing games without voice chat increases our aggression when we play online, because we assume the worst, and we're not having a human experience with the other person.

I want to put this out there, because it's easy to blame incels but we have to consider there's multiple tech companies out there literally playing/experimenting with their millions of users psyche for their own profit.

I mean it's not the plot or anything about the pacing that's killing my vibe, it's that the battle system is extremely slow and unrewarding.

The way it sometimes puts NPCs in your party so they can move around randomly and waste time in battle is great. if I could control the NPCs and get even a mild amount of battle use or control out of them I'd love it, but as it is it's just sooo dull. It's weird that I'm playing a game where finding a ladies cat is an exciting respite from the monster battles.
